That actually applies to most present-day shows, as they can be set during the pandemic! Indeed, it is likely the pandemic will be a popular subject for drama for years! I suspect this might actually make it easier for Halston Sage. I mean, wouldn't it be easier for a 'baseline level 5 germophobe' to do some grisly stuff in a mask than put on prosthetics and pretend not to be scared? Yes, I was too harsh on people who like bleaker shows. I didn't know that, but I did know I was being too harsh on people in found it easier than me. I'm sorry! I'm unemployed, I didn't take my test for a job, but for a national survey, back in July. I tested negative. Now, if the nose only tests are now as accurate as the swab I took, I would definitely ask for one!
A big portion of NCIS New Orleans two part season premiere focused on the characters dealing with the pandemic. The third episode didn't focus on the pandemic as much, but there was small story with it, and everyone was wearing masks. They've also been dealing with it, and have characters in masks on the new season of The Connors. Of the shows I watch, those are the only two that have really dealt with it so far.
the ones I did (fast tests, they give results in 20 minutes) are less accurate than standard ones. HOWEVER the standard ones can also be done involving nostrils only, it really depend on the kind of test and the protocols that are being followed.
Prodigal Son (the gory murder show) will be dealing with it. I think it was Tom Payne (the male star) who said, there is still crime in a pandemic. He has been like a brother to Sage, and it's appropriate that his last name is Payne, because his character goes through a lot of it!
I don't know if you're a gamer, but if you don't like bleak stuff, I would stay very, very far way from The Last of Us Part II. It's an absolutely mindblowingly awesome game, but it is one of the darkest, bleakest things I have ever experienced in my life.
I prefer simpler games, like racing games and pinball games. I also like Sonic the hedgehog, and I use some old Wii motion control games for exercise. Apart from some inherited games I never play, I think I only own one first-person shooter -- a firefighting game! I might enjoy The Orville Virtual experience, especially if I can play as a Xelayan, but my computer isn't powerful enough. Before you ask, I have all the latest Orville comics. They are not too dark for me, but I hope show regains more of its comedy streak than they had. And I shouldn't have insulted Latchkum loving Moclans! It's just that, I'm autistic. I find it almost as hard understanding humans as humans do understanding Moclans.
To a certain extent maybe. There are some situations, in particular if we see the characters at their home, where it wouldn't make sense for them to be wearing their masks. Hmm, I guess even medical shows would have that problem if there were a storyline where one of the doctors or nurses were seen at their home.
well, the third season was supposed to have longer episodes that played more like movies than tv episodes.
Sorry about the very late reply. I have been thinking. I didn't mean that Discovery was sufficiently ambitious! What made me concerned was all the statements that, with a bigger budget, season three was going to be such a barnburner, and that something like the Identity two-parter of would be considered a small-scale episode! Now, I don't actually like the Identity two-parter that much, and I have yet to rewatch it. I. I am no space battle junkie. I am autistic, and I prefer the exploration of ideas and simple, but relatable, character work. Indeed, I understand you actually wrote a TNG episode in that vane. It's one of my favourites. When filmmakers are of more limited means, this can lead to this type of thoughtful storytelling, as the writers can't simply indulge their appetite for explosions and sensory overload. I'm also concerned by the direction of the latest comics. Both have very heavy, violent stories with downer endings, and a noticeable reduction in the humor. If this show loses its humor, it simply becomes a straightforward Star Trek clone. Give one writer everything he wants, and such a show becomes like the worst of recent Star Trek; a mindless space opera. One way McFarlane could salvage the show from this trap is if the takes the opportunity to send up other overbudget, overblown streaming shows!

The Orville is part of a group of Disney TV Studios series that are delaying production again. Luckily it looks like it's only going to be for a week, from the 11th to the 18th, so it's shouldn't be pushed back to far, if at all.
Is it wise to restart? I understand the pandemic is out of control in LA. Might it be better to kick it into the long grass, and looked at again when the virus is gone? This isn't a show to die for.
