Loved the old Brave & the Bold comics back in the day. My favorite was a Batman/Deadman story drawn by Neal Adams. Read that one over and over as a kid.

And, honestly, I have no memory of deliberately referencing Young Frankenstein in Assignment: Earth, so it's possible it's just a coincidence. Granted, I wrote that book more than twenty years ago, so . . . .

Or perhaps it wasn't a conscious act, but your "inner Teri Garr" saying it. Even in my own modest efforts at writing fiction, I find myself at a point where I'm no longer writing the story, but rather the story is writing me.
