Seems he’s just some egotist from the “Trek gatekeepers” ilk who thinks he has some inside info and said info has ruined his life. I mean, even if what he’s saying is true, why doesn’t he wait until the episode airs so he can actually discuss it with others? I’ll tell you why. These types of people get an inflated sense of ego by sharing their “inside info” and making out that their opinions are somehow worth something more than anyone else’s. Maybe I’m being too harsh, but people like that tend to be narcissistic bores.

In the nineties up until a few years ago, I used to be a fairly rigid canonista when it came to Star Trek. Then, I remembered that the Star Trek universe and fandom was a lot more fun and interesting for me in the years before Canon (with a capital C) became the equivalent of Holy Writ for a sizable segment of fandom and effectively asking what God needed with a starship rendered one not of the Body.
After that, I fired the canon and embraced a multiversal view of Star Trek as pop-cultural myth.

Once pitched an idea with Brian Singer about a far future Trek universe........it was passed on and since he's hated ANYTHING Trek because it wasn't his idea.
