On Twitter, Robert Meyer Burnett is saying that the upcoming two parter "Terra Firma" will ruin Trek canon. And this... And finally, Now I know that RBM is a critic of Discovery. It certainly would not be the first time that a "hater" cries that Trek is ruined forever when it really isn't. Maybe "Terra Firma" won't be that bad? But what could he be talking about? The mention of Harlan Ellison seems to be a reference to the Guardian of Forever. And the mention of crossing time and space and universes makes think that it will involve time travel or multiple universes. Does Michael use the Guardian of Forever to undo the Burn or reset the entire Trek timeline? Will "Terra Firma" erase TOS or imply that classic Trek was the wrong timeline? I could see that pissing a purist like RBM off. Thoughts? Mod edit: Added a spoiler prefix to the title.
