Maybe Michael Burnham is the Guardian of Forever?
If Michael or Michael's mom did turn out to be the Guardian, I think the "fandom menace" would have a heart attack. LOL.

We joke but if Discovery does make Michael or Michael's mom the Guardian, that would be absolutely horrible IMO.
Suddenly “City” is a family get-together — Spock visiting with his secret stepsister’s mother.
Can't see how Burnham becomes the Guardian, as that would would effectively end her as the main protagonist of the show, and presumably end the show. She could gain some sort of time travel powers, but that wouldn't necessarily make her a Guardian of Forever. Her mother is a plot device who will likely be a reason for Burnham to leave Starfleet, along with trying to find out the cause of the Burn. Can't see what would be the point of transforming her into a Guradian of Forever, and doesn't seem like the kind that would RUINZ STIR TRACK FOREVERZ!!! (although this guy seems overly dramatic). I'm thinking more like Burnham goes to the Guardian, asks for some sort of personal medium to communicate with the Guardian than the stone entryway, and is presented with the Guardian embodied in the form of a human(oid).
I think this is a good possibility, but I’m not sure it’s sufficiently head-exploding. I really wouldn’t be shocked if the humanoid were Burnham’s mom. Just think of the tear potential — Burnham’s mother, split throughout time, saving Burnham’s replacement mother figure, at the cost that both are lost to her.

Hmmm... I’m still wondering about Lorca making a surprise reappearance at some point in S3...
RMB has turned into a drooling, pandering server of internet trolling to make $$ he desperately needs. He has zero credibility and nothing interesting to say about contemporary Trek. No one will hire him after the Axanar fiasco. What a sad ending to a once-promising career in and out of Trek.

Now I know that RBM is a critic of Discovery. It certainly would not be the first time that a "hater" cries that Trek is ruined forever when it really isn't. Maybe "Terra Firma" won't be that bad?
But what could he be talking about? The mention of Harlan Ellison seems to be a reference to the Guardian of Forever. And the mention of crossing time and space and universes makes think that it will involve time travel or multiple universes.
Does Michael use the Guardian of Forever to undo the Burn or reset the entire Trek timeline? Will "Terra Firma" erase TOS or imply that classic Trek was the wrong timeline? I could see that pissing a purist like RBM off.

I have a feeling he’ll be a part of those flashbacks that Georgiou keeps experiencing. At least I hope he will be.
And that sounds like modern Dr Who too. Dr Who actually did "the impossible girl" plot where Clara ended up being split through time and becoming lots of "time clones" that helped all the incarnations of the Doctor throughout all of time.
Might be that the distance between the universes has grown too great and Georgiou must be sent back in time to be on firmer ground?
That’s likely - however I feel he might actually turn up as part of whatever timey-wineyness occurs. I keep recollecting that scene with Stamets, in which Lorca is showing the holographic display of various locations across the galaxy - including what looked like the columns / gateway from TCOTEOF.

I always liked that moment. It’s a shame in a way, it was kind of a promise of something that Discovery never really followed up on. They went to the Mirror Universe but the assumption, from what I remember, was that there were so many more universes to explore and the sky was the limit. Hopefully they follow up on that this season.
And hey, why not with regards to Lorca. I love me some Jason Isaacs. Put him in the Section 31 series with Yeoh and throw in Cronenberg for the hell of it. Get those three in a scene together and I’m pretty much guaranteed to watch.

Yep, that would be the Trek equivalent of that Dr Who plot.
That's not really earth shattering either. I'm thinking maybe the Guardian taking the form of Deep Fake Spock. Or maybe just any other character for Trek canon, like Data. That would piss people off, especially since it wouldn't make any sense and would seem like cheap fan service.
