Fun fact: They never ever acknowledged on screen the NX-01 and NX-2000 being totally different uses of the NX registry.

And they can't acknowledge it in the show cos if the first ship to get lettered was the Enterprise, then it doesn't happen for 25 years after the Disco crew left the 23rd century.

Oh wow some very recent examples to prove that Trek hasnt spent 50 years naming things after British/US ships. Of course there are ships in CBS Trek breaking the mould and even a few examples before that but I am still right in what I said

How many of those said out loud? Most are background graphics, right?

    Native American, not US.
    Greek origin, not British.

Cairo was also a British ship. Discovery is doing a good job correcting it but for most of Treks life the writers just pulled ship names straight from American and British naval vessels including many you list above.

And even though its a crap situation native Americans are in the U.S.A. just as much as Catalans are in Spain or the Irish in the U.K.

Never realized till just now that they have had an Istanbul and a Constantinople which is odd.

And that the English name is used on place names

Of that list of 34 names, 20 were said out loud (Adelphi, Akagi, Aeon, Agamemnon, Ajax, Al-Batani, Antares, Archon, Artemis, Aurora, Bellerophon, Berlin, Biko, Buran, Cairo, Centaur, Constantinople, Cortez, Crazy Horse, Entente), 13 appeared onscreen (Aeon, Ahwahnee, Antares, Aurora, Bellerophon, Biko, Budapest, Buran, Cairo, Centaur, Chekov, Copernicus, Crazy Horse), and only 5 appeared purely as background graphics (Albert Einstein, Apollo, Atlantis, Callisto, Emden).

There's no evidence, outside of class names (and the class names were never referenced outside of background sources), for the existence of an Akira or Cheyenne. The class names for the Daedalus and Danube were established onscreen, although their prototypes were never referenced. The Chimera (class and ship) seems to be wholly invented by the Star Trek Encyclopedia, with the unseen Portland being, according to the Encyclopedia, a Chimera class ship.

Very few ships exist purely as background graphics, given TNG's preference to reuse ship names in background information that had already been established onscreen in previous episodes.

Voyager-J concept art (Complete with detachable nacelles!)

Disco has now answered a twenty-year-old question: What happened to Voyager after she came back to Earth?

The crew was debriefed. The ship was analyzed, dissected, stripped down, given a refit, re-christened the USS Voyager-A, and sent back into service (I'm assuming under another captain -- given that Janeway was promoted to Admiral).

Reminds me of a carrier from the game Star Fox on the SNES. Polygonal glory!
I also saw a picture of the saucer being detached from the secondary hull like the warp nacelles. Not sure how that works...

That's what you assume, right? I think she ended up as a museum on the presidio, just like in the alternate timeline.

It would be incredible if the EMH Doctor that appeared in 'Living Witness' is the CMO of the Voyager-J.
