I'm in the process of creating a variant of the Constitution class. I was going to create a whole new ship but it began to resemble the Constitution and as such, I've decided to designate this an upper 1700's registry variant known as Shetland. The lines follow the general form of the Constitution and diverge at the details. The following image is a very early WIP and any suggestions or comments are very welcome.
Keping the secondary hull mostly flat on top would have prevented nacelle drop had this been copied on the AMT
Well, you'll just hate the revamp then. I've went back and incorporated some 'Kelvin-isms' into the overall shape. It still retains a Prime Universe design but more of a jet-age finish to the nacelle wings, stardrive and saucer. Again, a very early WIP with no detailing and decisions still to be made about the deflector, bridge module and rear shuttlebay.
It's time for the near weekly 'complete revamp of the Shetland-variant superstructure based on nothing more than artistic whim'. This one is will be sticking around though.
