What area was that? The whole world was wearing masks last summer.
Not true. The Dutch govt. didn't officially recommend them until two weeks ago and most people here weren't wearing them.

Not quite. The Canadian province where I live, masks didn't become mandatory until the start of August, and I know of another province where they weren't mandatory until last week. And IIRC, there are still some US states where they aren't mandatory. The whole world was wearing masks last summer.
If this does all pass, there will be a lot of empty cinema, bar, coffee shop, night club and restaurant premises. A lot of them will open up again, many with new businesses in them. Others will be redeveloped into something else there is a demand for.
It's the way of things. They're only businesses.
Absolutely. It's a tragedy for the proprietors and for loyal customers.Tell that to every small business owner who lost their livelihood to this. It's more than "only businesses" to them. It was their primary source of income. We've lost a lot of really great family owned places since the summer here in New York.
Every American needs to be forcefully told that this isn’t above freedom, it’s about public health. We need enforcement. Where’s Karidian? Not quite. What are the movie theatres showing in your area?
Same here. It's too bad it's getting more and more expensive to go and see any in theaters. I end up waiting until they come out on DVD so I can watch them.I miss movie theaters because it was fun to see new releases on a much larger screen than I can fit in my house. Other than that, I have plenty to do.

I realize how selfish I am when I say that I desperately miss going to the theater to see movies.
