The second season has just been released on Netflix in Canada. The first episode should have been aired last season, shouldn't it? It was much more of a season/series ending episode. I really enjoyed it. The second episode finally felt like a Teen Titans series--the actors have a nice chemistry on screen. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Yeah, for some bizarre reason, they decided to postpone the first-season finale and air it as the second-season premiere instead.
They didn't just postpone the S1 finale, they completely scrapped it, or at least large parts of it. The S2 premiere is the hybrid result, based on the changes in direction they decided to go with.
It sounds like they debuted Nightwing in the original version, as Brathwaite has said he first wore the suit while filming S1. One of the things they decided to change was slowing the build towards the identity change into S2. Interviews suggest they completely reworked the ending of the Trigon story as well, and obviously added the Slade and Bruce stuff once they cast those roles for S2.

Interesting. I assume that Dick was meant to put on the Nightwing suit in that final scene. As for Trigon my only problem with it was that I had to wait a year for a story that gets resolved fairly quickly. Of course it is probably not the last we will see of him.
Just finished season 2. It's got some really good bits, but otherwise is a huge comedown from season 1. I don't get why Dick went off the rails with guilt when he throught Jericho was dead, when it clearly was not his fault. Worse still, the other Titans were mad with him and left. Over nothing? And Donnas demise at the end was Trip-levels of awful, pointless, empty bollocks.

I'm almost finished the season. I think I mentioned this elsewhere but Iain Glen gives me an Adam West if West were to have played Batman/Bruce Wayne without the tongue in cheek performance.
Finished the second season the other day. I liked many bits of it individually but was disappointed at the overly swift defeat of Deathstroke.
Strongest elements for me were Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne and the bits with Superboy.
I’m glad it’s renewed as I appreciate its difference in tone to Arrowverse (I enjoy Arrowverse as well—but a bit of variety is always good).
