The knowledge of deaging with the transpor...What's hidden?
2161 to 3068 (roughly)?
That's not a bad run.
And Keith Richards.Topped only by Meet the Press and Deadheads following the band on the road.
I think he might be FlintAnd Keith Richards.
Well he IS the Federation President in episode 6.........#spoilerAnd Keith Richards.
Did you watch Threshold from Voyager... that is the worst episode of Star Trek everTerrible. The worst episode of Trek ever!
It felt like I was watching season 5 of Andromeda when they ruined the format and had awful planet based stories. If I wanted to watch a Star Wars show I'd subscribe to Disney plus.
Has Burham got temporal narcosis? Why does she keep screaming like a banshee? The only good thing about it was the SFX and the still come on this season teaser.
Very disappointed, but hopefully it'll improve. I can't imagine it can be any worse.
I am looking forward to (hopefully) catching up with the Discovery next week. I'd prefer they pick up from the time they arrive, not just the time when they meet up with Burnham again.
I thought that deaging with the transporter only worked because they had a very recent previous "normal" transport to work with?
I would imagine that keeping stuff like that "on file" for the entire crew would be a bit more than even the starships computer could handle.
I also seem to remember that the two times it was used it was considered a long shot.
Meaning that it might not have worked for just anybody who wasn't a "Main Member" of the cast.

Dinosaur in 69,000,000 B.C.: "Keith? Yeah, he's been around for ages. Started the first rock band with actual rocks."
I don't think there is a connection. Maybe someone took advantage of the lack of temporal police, but I don't think so really. And no way that the Federation had a hand in it (as some other posters have hypothesized). At best, I think the writers/show runners just wanted to set DIS season 3 after the last thing we have yet seen in Trek (at least this is according to Anthony at TrekMovie), and so that is when they sett the timing of The Burn.Thank you @RAMA! Something else to talk about. Anything else!
I'm calling it now: I think The Burn and the Temporal War are directly connected to each other. I think whatever happened at the end of the Temporal War led to The Burn. That's why time travel was banned.
Both of them take place too close to each other to be a coincidence.
So... Why was the guy at the station spending all his time sitting at a desk instead of doing repairs?
That's 99.9 % of all Trek tech. It has Earth shaterring implications and will never be discussed again. The Federation is shown to be reluctant to automate everything, and installing back ups upon back upon because they are concerned with failure. And, given the whole Control and M5 debacle who can blame them?
Yeah you have a point there. I mean: they didnt have to give them AI...
Anyway. One probably should not give them shit for not forseeing that drones one day become a thing. On the other hand they underuse some in univese technologies like the transporter for example. This concept is so broken, one should think they use transporters and replicators for everything.....but nope.
still better than shades of grey: at least it’s enjoyable if you watch it to see how bad it gets.Did you watch Threshold from Voyager... that is the worst episode of Star Trek ever
I'm not sure about that. There must be worse episodes, but I'm positive whatever they were, they were on VOYDid you watch Threshold from Voyager... that is the worst episode of Star Trek ever
Is there still a ban on genetic engineering? I mean, when you look at what Book can do...I wonder if de-aging wouldn’t fall under the ban on genetic engineering. You have to be put back together the way you were, or at least as you “should” be.
True since Shades of Grey was a glorified clip show... but yeah Threshold could be a drinking game as wellstill better than shades of grey: at least it’s enjoyable if you watch it to see how bad it gets.
