Well that was an absolutely fantastic finale.

- Love that they didn't drag out Boimler knowing Mariner's secret.
- Return of the Archons and the Pakleds!
- Wolf 359 was an inside job!
- Rutherford's different modes had me laughing out loud, curious to see where they're going to take him in season 2.
- Tendi's eternal optimism feels like it should be getting old, but it continues to make me smile.
- Boimler taking the promotion was a good call, curious to see how they'll walk it back next season.
- Shaxs :(
- Riker's reference to the Enterprise finale almost makes up for the Enterprise finale.
- I was happy when we just got the random Titan reference, but to actually see her in all her glory, using the design from the books, and with that theme music was perfection. I do wonder if they knew that they would be echoing the Picard finale here?
- I have literally one nitpick: Troi looked awful in the Lower Decks style.

FANTASTIC FINALE!!

It was epic and funny, and resolved plots. Perfection!

Love that they revisted a TOS planet. Love Ransom's inside joke about TOS standing for Those Old Scientists.

Rutherford's different modes was very funny. Kinda sad that he lost his memories but it looks like he is building new ones with Tendji.

Shaxs. RIP.

Badgey!

Pakleds!

And I can't believe that we actually got to see the Titan and Riker and Troi. And what we got some great beauty shots of the Titan too!

Who would've thought we'd ever see a sequel to the Archons?
TAS Kirk and Spock!
TOS = Those Old Scientists (it's canon now!)
Gamester of Triskelion XD
"I'm only hard on you if you make me hard." XD
Wolf 359 was an inside job XD
Loooooove the exocomp!
The Mondor-like part at the front of that ship made it clear that those are Pakled
Badgey returns!
IS THAT THE SPOCK HELMET TOY!?!?!?! XDDDD
The Sequoia phasers sound like in TOS
Soooo glad to see the Titan! With TNG music! I actually teared up and screamed yyeeeaaaahhhsss like Burnham in the S3 trailer XD
Riker and Troi look odd, though. But now we know the uniforms and badges overlapped.
Archer had a long road getting from there to here XD
Riker's warp command is jazzy XD

They missed a trick with Riker. They should have had him hymn the TNG theme during the battle like he used to do in the bloopers.
Perhaps he played the trombone part while we saw the ship from outside

Only thing missing was Wesley, although I guess he technically only made it to the Titan in a deleted scene from Nemesis so I guess that's not canon. lol
He was in engineering ;)

Someone voted THAT a ONE?
I guess that's the guy who votes 1 when he means 10. He must vote for Trump to support Biden XD

I put those beauty shots together:

I really went into this thinking it would be a nice little distraction while waiting for Discovery season 3...........and now I'll be damned, I am really sad the 10 week run is over. The past 2 weeks really sold me on the show and I hate we have to wait for season 2 now.

I just thought that was really great fun. You’ve really got to give those responsible credit for going out on a limb with a adult cartoon. Great idea and worked beautifully. Also, I love Tendi.

Absolutely fun-tastic end of season. Everything was done so well: story, characters, the references, action, comedy, top secret cameos from Riker and the beloved boobazoid Deanna. I was smiling all the way through. The Titan looked stunning.

I'm sorry to say that I've spent the whole season not really digging the show in general. It was okay, just not really blowing my skirt up.

So I'm more surprised than anyone that I really liked the finale. Thank goodness, something between it and I finally clicked into place. Feels nice. :)

Edit. So considering the lead-time animation needs, I'm guessing every single time someone said, "In the Picard finale, Riker should have saved the day using the Titan!" all the LDS people ground their teeth, grinned, and pretended they didn't know shit. Not to compare, but I enjoyed Riker saves the day a hell of a lot more here than I did there.

Just finished it. Good episode. I give it a 9. That felt more like a season finale than I thought it would. And I called it when I said we'd have the Titan.

See you next week on the Disco Side!
