What's interesting about this episode? That everything was building up to the finale, which is rare in any form of television programming. Also, the Pakleds have become a certifiable threat. If there is a season two, I hope we run across these guys again.

Best "Big Damn Heroes" moment in quite a while.
I've always wanted to see the USS Titan on screen!!! Now it's official.
ST:TNG Op playing in the background as Riker & the USS Titan saves the day.
Definitely my favorite S1 finale so far.

PakLed's some how are this damn strong now? WTF?

And they've murdered at least one StarFleet ship and nearly did in another.

I say the UFP needs to stomp a mud hole in them.
I also saw some Romulan & Klingon parts on that kit bash Pakled ship.

I say the Alpha Quadrant Allied powers need to take away all the advanced Technology from the Pakleds.

They're a threat to InterGalactic Society until they can get their act together.

Assuming they don't reboot the finale like they do in every non-DS9 finale, then that was amazing.

Only thing missing was Wesley, although I guess he technically only made it to the Titan in a deleted scene from Nemesis so I guess that's not canon. lol

Freeman said the ship will be "almost the same," meaning that we're going to see some differences next year.

Riker's XO was a Saurian (of the Discovery variety). I assume using Vale may have been a bit of a copyright hurdle too much. This episode confirms my suspicion that the First Contact uniforms were still in use.

I would like to see Boimler as a Lt JG for a little while. I wonder if Mariner is going to torpedo his career in 2x01. I hope not.

Pretty high death count. Captain Dayton and the whole crew of the USS Solvang (all miraculously saved a couple weeks ago) were presumably slaughtered, in addition to the loss of our main character Shaxs. I'd be surprised if Peanut Hamper is ever seen again.

The Pakleds, with their cannibalizing of technology and lack of ethics, makes a suitable scary villain. Once they reach a certain level of technological advancement, it doesn't matter how dumb they personally are. Perhaps they have some kidnapped slaves to "help them go".

Shaxs was only a Lieutenant. If Season 2 begins with them scattered about, perhaps "Little Bear" Rutherford or even Mariner might be serving as security chief. Rutherford doesn't have that cyborg implant anymore, so might not be able to replicate his abilities. Mariner, as security chief, would be in a position to be the outside-the-box and under-the-rules thinker her mother asked for.

Still, I presume Season 2 will introduce us to a new SecChief. Probably a one-episode gag with stunt casting.

Frakes and Sirtis keeping the tradition going by appearing in all of the Star Trek spin off shows.

Given the finales of Lower Decks and Picard, how do we get Frakes to the 32nd century for a just in time rescue of the Discovery and the K'rtzmahn from the Vengeance of Brian Brophy?

All I know is now I want a titan show starring frakes and Sirtis also shouldn’t Deanna be pregnant with Thad by now? He’s born in 2381
