Shouldn't Superman been exposed by his clothes changing because of his wallet?

I was thinking of something. If Clark Kent needs to become Superman he basically takes off his street clothes and flies off since he wears the Superman clothes underneath. In theory though doesn't that mean somewhere he leaves behind his pile of clothes and anything on him or was carrying at that time?

Well in theory don't you think someone at some point might see a pile a clothes and a wallets just placed somewhere and basically pick it up, maybe even be tempted to steal any money in the wallet. But also inside the wallet would be Clark Kents drivers license and maybe other private stuff. I don't think it would be hard to connect to the idea then that Clark Kent is in fact Superman.

and if people think I am being callous and ruining their favorite comic, no, old Superman comics are pretty much that weird.

Spiderman would always leave his street clothes in a backpack webbed to someplace hard to see. I assume Superman could find a solution, too. He does have every superpower under the sun.

Maybe he doesn't even need a wallet.

I mean, people need wallets for exactly two reasons: 1) driver's license, and 2) credit cards & cash.

Obviously Clark would never need to drive a car. And I doubt he'd need money, either.

Superman would never need to drive a car. Clark Kent might need to a fair amount of the time. Maybe he could get away with making Lois do all the driving. But in any modern version, he would definitely need some form of ID. And I highly doubt Superman routinely steals his food, clothes, etc, so I don't see how he would never use money.

I think he would still need some kind of ID though. Also I think he would need money but it did occur to me if he needed money he could simply fly home real quick. Grab a credit card or cash and then fly back. Granted this could get tedious and annoying to him I would imagine if he has to do a lot during the day.

RFID Credit cards.

Superman can be identified as Clark from a few feet away with a card sniffer.

The GPS on his phone would be very unusual, which is data that is hard to come by with out hacking. Of course GPS is a free service offered globally by the US Government. It would be smart for them to track all the phones that are flying, a hundred feet off the ground at 5 times the speed of sound, and figure out who the hell these super humans are, and if they are up to no good.

You've got it backwards. All that stuff would be in his regular clothes which he leaves behind when being Superman. Anyone checking Clark's info would find it only associated with Clark and definitely not flying around in the upper atmosphere. Worst case scenario is the gps might show he occasionally leaves a room with shocking speed and spends a bizarre amount of time loitering in bathrooms, phone booths and back alleys.

Probably a Kryptonin phone that looks like a cell phone.. :)
Maybe he puts it in a bundle and tosses it up to low orbit?

I tend to go with his magic cape pocket, where he stuffs his Clark Kent stuff.

Last time I read Superman, 6 months ago, Clark told the world that he was Superman.\

Has that been reversed yet?

he used to literally fly from home to the Planet in the comics I used to read back in the 90s...Of course he definitely didn’t have a cellular phone back then.

About driving, if Clark lives in a well served area he doesn’t really need a license, Metropolis is a literary a metropolis and someone could realistically manage with public transportation only.

Weight.

Clark has to hover most of the time to stop his weight, the weight of 40 elephants, or more, from knocking over buildings and snapping elevator cables.

Buses and trains go over scales from time to time, to regulate freight.

Reminds me of this Robot Chicken sketch.

He stashes his wallet in his underwear, which he wears on the outside for that reason. And if he can't retrieve his clothes (or they're stolen), he has hidden stashes about Metropolis with replacement clothing.

Clark's a reporter for a major newspaper, though. He's probably always going to have to go places that aren't well serviced by public transportation.

Not in Metropolis, he wouldn't.

Metropolis has been compared to New York City, so I'm guessing it also has extensive mass transit systems (subways, etc.) as NYC does.

Now just think of the traffic. Would YOU want to drive in a city like that? I thought not.
