I was referencing an issue of Martian Manhunter from the early 2000s, which talked of a but load of other super heroes he posed as... But Google is failing me.

IIRC he was the Bronze Wraith in the Justice Experience. Google tells me it was Martian Manhunter vol. 2 no. 20 He also has several identities he uses is place like Asia, Africa and South America,
