..except for Vulcans..The only real way to get around it is to spend more time among those cultures, like seasons at a time fleshing them out. Honestly, there is no particular Trek culture that I care enough about to follow something like that.

...the silly Northerner line in Picard explained the ridged head Romulans
Yeah maybe, to be honest they don't need to explain any alien ethnic differences, do the humans go around telling aliens we come in various shades of brown? That was pretty dumb and still didn't tell us anything of note about the Romulans.

Only if they’re specifically from Yorkshire.Question of the day: if you are conceived in the Romulan northern hemisphere, but are born and raised in the southern hemisphere, do you have ridges?![]()
Tell that to Kor, Kang and Koloth.Klingons can be diverse in appearance, in ridges, skin tone and other features.
3 pale Klingons out of billions does not represent all Klingons.Tell that to Kor, Kang and Koloth.![]()
Why in the galaxy did they put three actors that were previously portrayed with smooth foreheads in TOS into ridged forehead costumes for DS9? I don't think Klingons are diverse in appearance at least as it goes for head ridges. We see in every Trek era that there are no cases of both smooth foreheads and ridged forehead Klingons serving along side each other.3 pale Klingons out of billions does not represent all Klingons.
Did Kirk, McCoy and Scotty, 3 white guys, represent what every human looked like?
I belong to the 'ridges were always there' camp lolWhy in the galaxy did they put three actors that were previously portrayed with smooth foreheads in TOS into ridged forehead costumes for DS9? "The only wrinkle to that is Bashier's comment "those are Klingons?" in surprise."
Imagine if in ENT every single human on the ship looked liked Archer (Europeans) and years later Shran ('pinksins)' met humans who looked liked Sato and Mayweather and exclaiming 'Those are humans? Since all Andorians seem to be blue , they do not have a diverse culture (until the Aenar showed up).
Humans are diverse in skin tone, hair texture, nose bridge size, lips and eyelid shape.
Klingons can be diverse in appearance, in ridges, skin tone and other features.
Trek's monolithic culture of nonhumans is a bit annoying for the likes of me.
...and "pinkskin" (Thelin) Andorians in various productions, as well as several different types of antennae, antennae placement, length, and movement.
Part Aenar perhaps? If we're talking about TAS, Thelin was more of a charcoal gray color.

Which episodes? According to Memory Alpha and Beta they are blue skinned speciesNot all Andorians are blue. We've seen dark green/brown (TNG) and "pinkskin" (Thelin) Andorians in various productions, as well as several different types of antennae, antennae placement, length, and movement.

Though the hologram in "The Offspring" was flushed all over with green light, so the colours weren't really discernible. I could swear I even read once that they gave that Andorian darker makeup so that it would look blue with the light they flushed over him?
Yeah, but it caused by Green light. If you allow for that, she could be blue under it.
Cindy Lou Who is Andorian?
I think she's green, likely because she's in front of a blue screen for the phasing in and out effects of the Holodeck. There's no shadows being projected in any direction around her. Which should be there is she's being bathed in light.
