Pretty sure McQuarrie's work was for the proposed movie Planet of the Titans and not Phase II. The Enterprise you see in TMP is pretty-much a refined version of what we would have seen in a Phase II series.

    - I've only had a quick look at the pictures, so far, but I share your desire for more V'Ger concept and design work.
I recently came across a design by Mike Minor with a hexagonal cross section, and hexagons adorning the main body which was turned into a physical model - seen here (scroll about halfway down). There's a concept sketch at Forgotten Trek too, along with one or two other designs that didn't make it into the book.

Looks like the cover from DC’s #1 from its second Trek run. Same artist?

The Khan cover is by Matthew Dow Smith. DC second run was Jerome Moore.

[EDIT: "The Orville" cover actually reads: "D. Cabeza, after J. Moore", so yes, a deliberate homage by David Cabeza.]

Ah, of course. Signature actually reads: "D. Cabeza, after J. Moore", so yes, a deliberate homage by David Cabeza.

Slick cover, I enjoy the homage to Moore’s Trek work.

    Arrived today
Star Trek - Legacies "Purgatory's Key" (Book 3)
Star Trek - Enterprise (Rise of the Federation) "Live by the Code"

Really been enjoying the Trek novelverse material, I only recently got into them about 1 month and half maybe 2 months ago, I've read some amazing stories that have been very very well done. With these 2 new trek books that makes 22 for the Trek novels that I got so far in my collection, only read 6 so far though haha.

Mine, too. I remember one day in July 2002 when I actually ran out of Trek books to read (only a few YA "Academy" books left on the pile), then I changed jobs and my four-hour daily commuting turned into a ten-minute walk. Reading time evaporated.

The “Star Trek: Discovery” novel, “Die Standing” (Gallery Books, 2020) by John Jackson Miller, has arrived at last. Here it is with my Funko "Pop" figures of Michael Burnham and Saru.

And I had to double-check at home before picking this up last week...

Also, the USS Enterprise travels to Andor in Issue #15 of “Star Trek: Year Five”, and introduces Renei, a member of another subspecies of Andorian, who has swept-back antennae with speckles at the base.
