Name dropping is fine depending on how it's used. Trip Tucker sprinkles works, O'Brien being the most important character in Starfleet history works, the episode where Mariner just named off a bunch of characters in a row didn't work.

Po-tay-toes, po-tah-toes.

well that was pretty good and hey another reference to a TAS species this time it's the phylosian guess that means the giant cloned spock and that other guy managed to save them and they eventually joined the federation.
only 5 episode left :wah:

I just saw someone complaint that 'according to lower decks its OK to steal....'
just ignore major grin he's a fandom menace asshole and not worth anyone's time

Yeah, I had a blast with this one. Both ladies being overly protective of Boimler because he's just too dainty and high-strung to attract awesome people by force of his own charisma was a fun twist. The line delivery when Captain Freeman was just 1000% done with that jackass was absolutely perfect and a laugh all on it's own. We're at the halfway point of the season, and I'm still having a great time with this show. I think I'm going to have to buy the dvds.

The part I actually enjoyed most was the C story with the moon. I like the idea of the captain being frustrated and condescended to by other captains, there should have been more of that, it should be a running bit in the show. But the other captain just disappears here for no reason. There should have been a rivalry in the LAST episode to establish why the Tellarite captain made the stupid mistake that he did.

Both captains last episode were California-class captains. Both garbage scows in space. The captain of the Vancouver has nothing to prove.

That was Episode 1. I remember thinking "oh good, they're getting all the TNG references out of the way early."

I was so young.

You'd prefer ENT references?

FYI - I laughed so hard at the reference to the Edo. Apparently, that was an add lib and it was easily the funniest line in all of Lower Decks so far.

Was it from someone who goes around looking for things to complain about?

Apparently in the Roddenberry Utopia it's okay to bully someone for being unable to get a girlfriend but stealing office supplies in a post-scarcity society is insane.
