While I enjoyed Firefly and it might have had potential, it deserved to be cancelled.

This thread was supposed to have been a safe space. You can go go far, you don't have to get personal![]()
I don't think this will be an unpopular opinion. I agree it's the least actiony and probably closest to the feel of a Next Generation episode.I guess I would say Star Trek: Generations actually felt like a movie featuring the Next Generation Cast and not an action film. Also, the music in Generations is really underrated.
Have you seen Ex Machina? It's a great, non-franchise, big idea sci-fi movie. It is R rated, so if you're bothered by a lot of swearing, violence and some full frontal female nudity you might not want to watch.I wish there were more Sci Fi movies like Arnold's total recall, Arrival, Intersteller, or The Martian. Now it's all franchises or Super Heroes. Heck, just a few weeks ago I saw The Fifth Element for the first time and it was a weird movie but it reminded me how vast and imaginative Sci Fi can actually get.
I completely agree on The Joker. Once you get used to his look, and ignore Leto's offscreen behavior, it really is a great take on the character. I can kind of see what they were going for with his look, the original version was clearly inspired by the gangsters of that era, and all they were doing with the Suicide Squad version was updating that, to make him look more like a modern gangster.More comments from me:
* Jesse Eisenberg and Jared Leto's respective versions of Lex Luthor and The Joker were great and should be brought back in some capacity

This!Thanos is a shitty villain.
I don't know if that's really all that unpopular.Babylon 5 isn't very good.
That's a big ask.ignore Leto's offscreen behavior
I guess I recall the hype going around when it started.I don't know if that's really all that unpopular.
Timothy Dalton was the best Bond.
Almost...almost... I liked License to Kill just a little better. To me it was the closest we've had to an Ian Fleming novel put to film. To this day, I hate that Dalton never got the chance to do more than two films.
If you told me I could only watch one Bond film for the rest of my life, I'd choose The Living Daylights.
Tarkovsky's Solaris. Fascinating, hypnotic, brilliant.Yes I have. Great movie. I'm looking for more "cerebral" movies like it.
'Fraid I've never been able to warm to LTK like TLD. The "revenge" theme restricts Dalton's range; he's able to play more character notes in Daylights. Among other things, his wonderful chemistry with Maryam d'Abo's Kara lets him play Bond as a genuine romantic hero -- more than in any of the other films, even those that are more self-consciously "romantic" (like OHMSS and CR).Almost...almost...
