Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

I don't think he'd fit well into the current MCU mold, his style is quite different. Maybe he could have made a cool Marvel Netflix show if given complete artistic control but the Netflix deal is unfortunately dead.

Really curious what the music is going to be like for this. The first Dune movie has a epic score

Hans Zimmer is doing the music, so it'll probably sound pretty similar to his past scores.

If it's anything ambitious like his score for Interstellar, I'm certain it's going to be amazing. Not sure if it'll reach Brian Eno heights, but I'm sure it'll be glorious on its own terms.

I'm expecting good things, he's done some phenomenal scores over the years. I'm an especially big fan of his Dark Knight Trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean series, and Inception scores.

Gotta say that news does more to make me interested in a Dune adaptation than anything else I've heard. Even if I don't end up seeing the movie, I'm definitely listening to the music.

The Interstellar score was really something - good outside the box thinking and execution and i love listening to it occasionally.

Zimmer's scores do tend to have a recognizable style and some have started to sound alike but when inspiration strikes he can take it up with the best of them. Looking forward to hear what he comes up with for Dune.

A (german) documentary on Jodorovsky's Dune attempt that never took off the ground (unfortunately all in German but there are bits and pieces of the design and artwork to look at)

Won't open in my country. Any different than Jodorowski's Dune?

Uhm.. it is about his version

There is a documentary film called "Jodorowski's Dune" that came out a few years ago. I'm asking if this YouTube video has any different from it, but since you've obviously not seen it, you probably can't answer

Look it up if you're interested. It's on Netflix in some regions. It's available to rent on the play store/iTunes.

The trailer was rated G by the Quebec rating board, so it's fairly certain it will be attached to Tenet in Canada. Or at least in Quebec.

Yeah, any trailer that's not a red band trailer is G. That's why trailers often have profanity from movie dubbed over with friendlier language. For example, the "Science the shit out of this" line from The Martian is "Science the hell out of this" in the trailer.
