Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Do clothes have a shelf life for when the smell doesn't come out anymore? A couple of my shirts have an odd odor to them. I thought maybe it's because I overloaded the washer, but washing them again with a smaller load didn't change anything. I ran the washer through a cleaning cycle, so we'll see what happens next time.

Make sure you run it with a little bleach so you kill any mold in the washer.

Could it also be your closet or dresser? We have a storage bench for the blankets , but the blankets end up with an odd smell from it. I've been putting scented dryer sheets in it and it helps a little.

You might also try hanging your clothes up in the bathroom when you shower. The steam will not just take out some wrinkles but might help with the smell.

I heard a New Kids On The Block song today at work. And then it hit me:

One of these guys is now Danny Reagan on Blue Bloods.

I'll never be able to watch the show the same way again, because THEN I'll have the opposite reaction: "Danny" used to be on stage with four other guys singing schmaltzy 80's music.

The rise of rock ’n’ roll music and bands such as The Beatles and the Rolling Stones in the early Sixties created a huge demand by radio listeners across Britain. It was a demand, however, not met by the then rather stuffy and conservative BBC.

As a result, pirate radio stations flourished, broadcasting on the medium waveband from ships anchored off the coast, the most famous of them being Radio Caroline and Radio London. They were safe from restrictive UK regulations because they were operating from international waters.

so the year i was born 1967, ten pirate radio stations were broadcasting
to an estimated daily audience of 10 to 15 million,
BBC had to fold, and started Radio1, they recruited Tony Blackburn who had worked on both Radio Caroline and Radio London. The very first song on the new radio channel was The Move, Flowers In The Rain

And good morning everyone! Welcome to the exciting new sound of Radio 1.

Who is responsible when a third party delivery service delivers to the wrong address? The delivery person dropped off a neighbor's food order to my address with no knock or ring. Didn't notice it until shortly before the neighbor's replacement order arrived, so now he has double the order.

Misdelivery has been happening a lot in my neighborhood lately, so I wonder how bad it is when you take the whole country into account.

This happens all the time in my neighborhood, but it's mostly the USPS at fault. I even got someone's medication one time. I delivered it to the correct address.

Am I the only one who gets really annoyed with characters in movies and TV having to be told the story of the frog and the scorpion as if they never heard it before?

I can understand that feeling but I still get amazed when someone shows ignorance regarding a story/movie/concept, etc that I’d have thought was more well known than the frog and the scorpion story...even from well educated folks.

I was listening/watching a video taped performance of Beethoven's Eroica symphony this morning and I was struck by this. About halfway through the final movement the whole orchestra, every single instrument, is playing and there are about a half dozen different things going on - different sections playing different melodies and rhythms. Listening, I could barely make out the different parts as they all blended together. It then occurred to me that at a point about 220 years ago, all that beautiful, intricate, melodious noise only existed in the mind of a single bat crap crazy German. What a glorious mind it must be that can conjure up that beauty!

That's my weird thought for this Sunday morning (or afternoon for you folk on the eastern side of the big pond).

I wonder how things are going in the "President Hillary Clinton" timeline right now?

Well, correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that the hypothesis here is that there are alternate universes where different things happen from what's happens in this reality, if so then it's not unreasonable to assume that there are a great many of these realities, some of whom (because of the butterfly effect) in better economical (and/or political) shape than others.

I am livid! I have a tracphone from T Mobile and have had no trouble up to today. I paid for another month on august 3, and received confirmation that day that i'm paid for another month - until September 11. Then, today, my texts are not being sent or received. Some boob in their billing dept put a block on my messaging. I have tried all afternoon to get this fixed to no avail. Talked to 6 different people who are totally ineffectual. Techs who try to "fix" my phone, not the problem. I hate all of them. I am thinking very evil thoughts right now...while i wait for the promised call back number 6.
