There are many things I do not like.You mean....there's actually something you don't like???
I feel exactly the opposite. I found South Park to be much funnier when they bleeped out the curse words but you still knew exactly what they were saying.

Well, let's see. I've never gotten into animated versions of live action franchises. Rebels stuff, etc... This animated version of The Orville just doesn't cut it like the original.
Anyway, I'm not sure how long I'll stick with this. I watched it with my daughter, whose reaction was "It was... OK.." I think I share that. Just not my thing.

It's nothing like The Orville, that comparison makes no sense
Never was fun. Its terrible growing up without a sense of humor...
I really enjoyed it. It's a lot tamer than I was expecting. I was thinking it would be closer to Rick and Morty, but it's closer to Futurama.
I really liked the line about how things like the whole ship being overrun by rage zombies happens all the time.

I didn't get that Mariner was a "a tenured underachiever" though. Rather probably an overachiever (or at least, well, achiever) who also either royally fucked up or, more likely, deliberately defied rules. We'll see, I guess.

I watched it again just to see if my opinion would change after thinking it over and seeing so many liking it and...
I don't see why so many like it.
It was generally loud and annoying (Mariner) and the stuff that happens in it just doesn't really "fit" with how I feel about Star Trek it just felt like a parody.
It probably would have been better if Mariner was dialed back from an 11 to a 7 or 6, but she just always loudly, rapidly, talking and it's a lot to deal with when it makes up most of the episode and too much of it just feel like gags there for the sake of gags because we needs laughs, so who care if it really makes sense to any kind of logic.

Being a cartoon doesn't mean it has to be balls-to-the-wall crazy and a near parody. They do make serious cartoons you know.

Then you probably won't want to watch the rest of it. I do find it very helpful for you to describe what you don't like about it. I mean, I don't think anything will change your mind but it at least makes sense...even if I don't agree
I enjoyed it a lot! Part of it was, admittedly, just me going "Yes, that is me. That is what would happen if you set my nerdy self loose on a TNG-era ship." Which gives me a lot of hope that this writing team gets what was so fun, inspiring, and appealingly absurd about that era of Trek. I suspect I'm going to be a bigger fan of the happy geek team than the two main characters (they're both a little frantic for my taste), but that's fine - I'm having fun so far.
