The Star Trek iceberg

It varies? Like I pretty much only watch the shows and used to play Star Trek Online (Romulan Republic Forever!).
I don't really like the novelverse and its various permutations and don't really play any Star Trek video games (aside from STO, as said above) I played the Star Trek Table Top RPG once. And I have seen a bit of Star Trek continues (that's those fan episodes, right?)
I also know some of the trivia, in-jokes and such from some of the lower tiers (and Star Trek V is defenitely not in my canon, in fact I'm pretty sure the Star Trek films go straight from IV to VI and left out V for some strange reason) .
But if you have to tick all the things in a tier to "qualify" for it then I'm not even tier one since I don't watch Orville and have not seen all episodes of TOS, TAS, Voyager and Enterprise, neither have I seen all the Kelvin movies.
And I also have no clue what some of this is about. McCoy was married? I hope his child(ren) married alien(s).

I'm going to assume it's a familiarity thing, as many of these concepts are diametrically opposed to one another.
As such, I am familiar with everything (enough to explain to a layperson) in Tiers 1, 2, and 3.
I almost had Tier 4 except for the Canadian Borg bit. Nothing comes up on Google, so I'm curious what that's about. Something to do with the Columbia NX-02?
Tier 5: I didn't recognize Kraith or Surak's internet blogging. I now see that Kraith was an early fanfic fandom that led to K/S in many ways. I may have vaguely heard of it before. Also, the Rihannsu novels described the Vulcan internet that Surak used during the time of the Sundering. Had no idea about that, but it makes sense.
Tier 6: Not familiar with Khest, Nu Ormenel, or "Alternate Universe 4". Khest is apparently a Klingonaase obscenity used by John Ford in his books. Nu Ormenel is another fan fiction series from the '70s (centering around Klingons). "Alternate Universe 4" is yet another fan fiction world from the '70s. That seems to be my Achilles heel on this iceberg.
Tier 7: I feel better about this, with only Sahaj and Snoop Dogg's mural drawing a blank stare. As I suspected, Sahaj is another 1970s fan fiction character (Spock's son!). I don't need to study more. I get the idea. As for Snoop Dogg's mural, apparently there was some confusion last year when he was photographed in front of a large mural of Starfleet ships, and people assumed it was at his house. It was actually a "Star Trek vs. Star Wars" mural at a production studio partially owned by Snoop, designed by a graphics artist affiliated with the studio.
Tier 8: First of all, Valeris is spelled with an E. Anyway, I don't know Gentleman Jeff or the Xixobrax Jewel Worm Affair. Outside of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, I can't find any reference to a "Gentleman Jeff" anywhere, let alone Star Trek. The jewelworm affair was from the great novel "Spock Must Die!".
Now I know everything except the Canadian Borg and Gentleman Jeff.

Thanks for the heads-up on the typo. Fixed it. As for the rest, I'll see if anyone else knows the answers before I spill.

I believe "Gentleman Jim" was probably the nickname Winona gave her love instructor.
The Xixobram Jewel Worm Affair was one of James Blish's reference/crossovers between Trek and his original work. Kirk met Koloth first during an event depicted in Blish's non-Trek short story "This Earth of Hours" on a planet later referenced in fan manuals like From the Files of Star Fleet Command.
Gentleman Jeff was a weird in-joke in old FASA publications, like their 100% in-universe Spacelanes: The Magazine of Interstellar Trade. Most of the personal ads are from the women he's left in every port and unlike all the other OC's in FASA books, he's depicted with a photograph rather than a line drawing. He crops up again in at least one other FASA articles and booklets.
The only one I missed was Vulcan Genitalia. I don't even want to know.
But I'm pretty sure, somewhere down the line, they've probably made a porno movie that parodies Star Trek. Or someone got really creative with their K/S Slash.

This is great! I love minutiae like this. Planet of the Titans would probably be much higher now due to Discovery, right? and The God Thing would probably better in that spot.
I'd have thought Galaxy Quest would be right up there in the top tier 
Nice wallpaper. So. what does qualify you for being "in" a certain layer? Having heard of at least one of them (one extreme) or being involved (actively 'consuming') in all of them ? (other extreme). Depending on the answer, I suppose I can qualify for the deepest layer, or not even the topmost one

Old fanon idea that I had run across from time to time. Very similar to the recently established Klingon canonical genitalia. It makes sense now since Worf and the Romulan Pahtahk were compatible blood types in "The Enemy". Perhaps there is some common ancestry behind the Vulcanoids (exiled colonies of the Arretians/Sargonians) and the Klingonoids (transplanted genetically engineered slave race that rebelled?).
1970s slash fiction established Vulcan males have a forked penis. In more recent times, a certain Trek BBS poster argued this is canonical by way of "Double Negative Canon." Basically, it's never been established on screen that Vulcan males don't have a forked penis, therefore they do.
