With Picard Season 1 over, we have seen what Picard, Troi and Riker have been up to, and where they are at in 2399.
    Question:
With the possibility of Geordi and Crusher having a roll in Season 2
What are the rest of the crew doing, or have done during the interim?

    I'll Start
Dr. Crusher - I would think that she would be doing what she did in All Good Things future, be in command of the USS Pasteur doing her own thing, and that like in AGT, she tried with Picard and it didn't work out, maybe with the Romulan Nova he became to bitter or something and she left.
Maybe a way to introduce the EMH would be that he/it is on the Pasteur doing work.

Geordi - We have a choice in Voyager he was a captain, in AGT he was a novelist with 3 kids and married to Leah Brahms? And he was at Utopia Planitia helping build the Fleet when it was attacked.
I would like to see him married, with kids, maybe working at San Francisco Docks designing new ships, or there power systems maybe. Now with Leah? She was married in Tng, so I don't know.

Worf - He was an ambassador in AGT, and in the books he was trying to become a captain. Fan wishing would like to have him in command of Enterprise E, which I wouldn't mind, but him being and Ambassador with Chancellor Martock would also be nice.

Guinan - Now she is confirmed to be in Season 2, so she's probably doing like she was doing, tending some bar somewhere, or traveling. Maybe some back story of how she was with Picard trying to rebuild him after the nova but failed? we'll see.

Ro - Well could be dead with the rest of the Maquis, in the books she came back and was in charge of DS9, so maybe some position in the Bajoran government, maybe a good way to get a Kira cameo or something to see how DS9 is doing in the future.

    Wesley - Traveling

Now there are still plenty of other characters in Ds9 and Voyager that could pop up, and we can discuss them here to if you want.

According to the prequel novel, he left before the attack.

Only if they move the narrative forward. None for the sake of doing it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that Beverly is dead.

Too bad. The next season was going to be Picard in a busted up old shuttlecraft flying around the cosmos to "get the band back together again" for one last epic show.

Special guest appearance by Q who "borrowed" the shuttle from Scotty.

IIRC, Burton has expressed confidence that he'll appear at some point. If the producers decide to canonize the storyline from the novel, I think Geordi would have major survivor's guilt after pouring his life into the work at Utopia Planitia. He may have been forced into retirement like Raffi because of his close association with the politically toxic events on Mars. I could see him quietly dedicating his expertise to a technological MacGuffin that facilities his appearance (and subsequent emotional rehabilitation) in Season 2.

The producers, however, may ignore the novel in order to avoid retreading Picard and Raffi's disillusionment arc.

Most people had First Contact day off ;)

If it's gonna be 3 seasons, the main cast can and should have appearances. If it's gonna be even longer, there's no reason to get to Lefler and Gomez as well XD

Yes, this is close to what I was thinking, though less along the lines of forced retirement and more getting some voluntary distance from the whole tragedy. I do feel a bit let down that Geordi got no time in a season where Data and Hugh played a significant part, so for S2, I'd like to see him doing something to help the xBs or even with Hugh if the writers remember nanoprobes exist.

For the rest... please, just give me a couple scenes of Guinan and Elnor. I have a feeling Absolute Candor between those two would be a blast.

He was already back in Starfleet in Nemesis. 20 years as a cadet is rather...odd? Yes, odd.
Can we not reinforce the creepy relationship between Geordi and Leah. Besides, it would be nice for one married couple in Star Trek to have a nice life, and I see no reason why Leah and Mr. Brahms can't be that couple.

His wife was named Leah, but it wasn't specified if it was Leah Brahms, though I'm sure it was the intent.

    Creepy then, creepy now.

According to Voyager, schools are supposed to be closed on First Contact Day, but that clearly wasn't the case in Children of Mars.

The AGT novel says it was her, but no idea if the writer got the idea from a script or production notes or something.

However, Leah and him got together in the post-Series novels, then she vanished from the plot for some reason, and he started dating someone else, but then she came back in a later story and it was explained to be an 'open relationship'.

With the school uniforms and all that, it appeared to be some sort of prestigious school. Maybe they don't get the Holiday. idk.

My assumption is that "Leah" was just a holographic copy of Dr. Brahms that Geordi considers his wife (his kids are holographic too), and everyone just accepts this and doesn't talk about it.

The real Leah Brahms has a restraining order out.

If I recall correctly, the original script had him hooked me up with Aquiel from the episode of the same name, which, frankly, is just about equally creepy. Apparently, the "Aquiel" episode was not a popular episode with the fans and they decided they didn't want to remind fans of it.

Kind of wish Geordi would be married to Christy, and have Julie Warner come back to play her.
