Spoilers Tng Crew in Picard. Speculation of what they are up to.

I do hope we see all the main TNG characters at least once. As far as I'm concerned, Picard is the TNG Movies done right. So it would feel wrong not to have them in it, even for a little bit each.

Before someone says "They've moved on!" Yes, they have. I agree. But there are people I know from college who I still stay in contact with to this day but we've all moved on too. It's possible to move on and still stay in contact, so you can have both. I don't want "the old crew together again!" I want an individual check up on "what are they doing now?"

PIC has redeemed NEM a little bit in my eyes (Nemesis works a lot better as a PIC Prequel than it does as a TNG Sequel) but I still don't think Nemesis should have the last word on any of these characters. I'd rather it be Picard.

All I can say is that I’ve been waiting to see Crusher since early season 1.

She and Data’s BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD Geordi are the two others that basically needed to be in the series. That’s if you’re going to include dead man Data at all, otherwise, at least some MENTION of Crusher if nothing more of anyone else.

That said, I can’t wait to see what they do with the rest of the cast next season. Keeping my antennae crossed that this isn’t the best of times and I’ll hate what we get later.

As long as there's a purpose to their appearance besides "hey I'm back" I'm okay about that. That was one of the really annoying things about the TNG movies, aside from Picard and Data there really wasn't much purpose for the other characters to be there besides a cast reunion.

His wife was named Leah, but it wasn't specified if it was Leah Brahms, though I'm sure it was the intent.

Creepy then, creepy now.

Creepy to you, not to anybody else nor myself. And it's no more creepy than Doctor Wyatt Miller supposedly being betrothed to Troi but actually in love with a woman he'd dreamed of since he was a child and said woman being on the ship that just so happens to be appearing at a planet the marriage will be taking place on.

I'm glad that you don't find it creepy (I don't see how but OK) but certainly other posters have shared their thoughts.

And reading some of the transcription from @Turtletrekker's links the dialog makes it even worse. It's creepy, hands down.

Today's world, IMHO, is full of shit, stuck-up, prudish, uptight, and in dire need of a counter to attitudes like this one (and is sorely in need of a new version of The Sexual Revolution, or something else that will make the human race loosen the frak up.)

All of that is highly debatable, and completely irrelevant to Geordi's behavior which was completely a violation of Leah's privacy, and Barclay was looked down upon for doing similar things. It's not about being a prude but about respect, which Geordi demonstrated none of towards Leah until he was called on his BS by Guinan, and even then Geordi still puts the blame on her in part for being "cold" towards him.

It's unprofessional at best and stalking at worst. And played off as a laugh. Some things need don't need to loosen up.

She reacted like she had walked into a porno scene when in reality he got a bit too involved after a life and death situation. He probably hadn't even returned to the program since it was left in the same scene. If she walked in on him buffing the warp nacelles or realigning the forward deflector that would be one thing

He was digging in to her personnel file. How is that not?

I would think there would be safeguards to depict known people in the holodeck, that is beyond just Instruction or something like that. The computer would know a "Romantic" situation, and put a stop to it because of that failsafe.
Now with Geordi, he needed an interactive program, he didn't ask the computer to flirt with him, or respond to his advances. the computer should have played it straight due to the failsafe.
So, I'm back to, if this was a 1 time thing, and nothing else, then it would be a bit creepy but not stalking.
Now Barclay and his depictions of the entire crew? thats cray cray.

Especially when he learned the real person a certain program was based on was coming aboard the ship. But that's early 1990s for you, "erasing your browser history" wasn't exactly a term in the general public's lexicon at the time.

Although I question the notion that Geordi never bothered with the Leah Brahms program after Booby Trap. After all, in Hollow Pursuits when Riker comments on the fact that creating holographic duplicates of real people is against regulations, it's Geordi who speaks up and says it isn't, indicating he'd already looked into the matter. I doubt it was to see if it was something he could discipline Barclay for, meaning there's only one other canonical reason he'd need to look up such regulations...

There are some aspects of TNG that don't age well, and even the movies. One of the most glaring scenes that didn't age too well (especially in today's selfie age of instagram and facebook) in First Contact is Geordi's whole "I wish I had a picture of this" when Cochrane was standing at his future statue's site, rather than asking Cochrane to stand still and then him or Barclay taking a photo with their PADD.
