I read it See Kwan, myself.

I always assumed "Kwan", but earlier today I was looking down at the page and thought, "See Swan" would fit NF's comic bookish vibe.

It's pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove."

i pronounce it sci (as in the opening sylable of science) kwan (k sound and a short a sound.)
Kwan was how I thought it sounded as well.
The one that keeps getting me (besides some of the Andorian names) is Jasminder Choudhury. I"ve been going wigh a soft Ch and silent H and coming up with something sounding like Showdury.

Pretty sure it was Kwan on the New Frontier Audiobooks i have. Haven't listened to them for a while though, so I could be rong.
I always assumed it was pronounced "Sigh Kwan." Though I guess without hearing it "See" is appropriate as well.
I did notice that Garak is inconsistently pronounced on DS9. Most people pronounce it as "Garrick" but Bashir, Dukat and other Cardassians and sometimes Odo say "Gar-ack"

I always make sure to pronounce the A sound - "Gar-AK" It's in his name for a reason! Although I would think people whom you think are saying "Garrick" are actually pronouncing it "Gar-AK" too, but their accent influences the way certain vowel sounds are pronounced.
How about Min Zife? I've always said "zee-fay", despite the lack of any accented character that would indicate this kind of pronunciation, because I thought "z-EYE-ff" sounded silly.
Min Zife I always thought of as rhyming with Strife or fief.

I once made the same assumption you did, but I'm reliably informed that it rhymes with "life."
I always read it to rhyme with "Wife". It never seemed silly to me.
So while playing The Last of Us Part II, I discovered that I've been mispronouncing Dina this whole time. I had been prouncing it the same as Dinah, but there is a character with that name in the game, and they pronounced it Deena.
That also got me wondering about other names I might be pronouncing wrong, and the first one that came up is T'Ryssa. I've been saying T-Ris(like in risk)-a, but it occurred to me it could also be pronounced more like T-Rice-a. So which is it? Or is it a third one that didn't even occur to me?
