Our theme for this weeks contest is Rebels & Revolutionaries. Your entry can be any character or group of characters who is acting against their own government, in whatever form that government exists. Just engaging in criminal activity isn't sufficient--they should be trying to bring about some kind of change to their society, or expose government cover-ups, or something along those lines. It doesn't have to specifically be any kind of armed insurrection, although that is also allowable. Your entries can be from any movie, show, comic book or video game. Each entry should be a maximum of 200 x 200 pixels, and 1 MB in file size. Please identify the characters and source of your entry. Everyone may enter up to two entries. Contest will be open for about a week. If you're not sure, but can make a good case as to why your entry should count, I will probably allow it. As an example, here is my first entry. In the movie Serenity, Malcolm Reynolds and the crew of the Serenity actively worked against the Alliance parliament to expose the cover-up on Miranda: Have fun!
That's Supernatural, right? I'm not that familiar with the show, but sure, if they're rebelling against God, that's fine. I guess specifying "government" was probably too narrow a focus, so rebelling against any power structure that the characters fall under will be fine, such as religious, corporate, etc.
Yes, that's Supernatural. If I'm talking about *anything*, there's a 50/50 chance I'm talking about Supernatural. Good to know. I'll see if I can come up with another entry. ALL THE LIKES!
OK, here's my second entry. I couldn't find a compelling Dean vs God image so I went with this one instead: Dean rebels against the angels and kills Zachariah.
Odo at the end of DS9 'The Search, Part Two' "Whatever you do to them, you'll have to do to me." Chakotay, captain of the Maquis at the start of VOY 'Caretaker' "Were you going to deliver us into their waiting hands, Vulcan?"
Iden and his holographic group rebelled against the Hirogen that used them as prey. the robots Ava and Kyoto in Ex Machina rebelled against their maker who even created one of them (Kyoto) without language, to be a silent domestic servant and a sex slave. Good riddance...
Last call! I hope to have the poll up sometime Sunday night, maybe around 22 hours from now. I guess I'd better enter a second entry too... We have machines rebelling against humans, so how about humans rebelling against machines? - Neo, The Matrix
