DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

So happy!

I imagine Wonder Woman 1984 and Aquaman 2 will best the last movies set in the DCEU continuity. Joker and The Barman will be their own thing and unconnected to anything else. Definitely for the best.
Who's to say those franchises won't continue? They just aren't all leading up to a crossover any more, so they are only kind of in-universe.

I'm no fan of Snyder, but I am very much a fan of some of these characters/actors (Adams's Lois and Gadot's Diana in particular). Hours of new material in which they figure prominently will be most welcome.

Wow, I was convinced it was never going to happen.
To be honest, I think I'd be more interested in a JL movie that was created by Joss Whedon completely from scratch, than the Snyder Cut.
I very much agree.. i never thought they would go through with this...and I too would have preferred an All Whedon version.

So will the Snyder cut exclude most of the Whedon additions/revisions?

So which version will be canon going forward in terms of the DCEU?

The DCEU is pretty loose about its continuity already -- for instance, BvS showing that half the world feared and mistrusted Superman and JL then showing that he was so universally beloved that his death threw humanity into an unprecedented state of despair. And the newer films seem to be making only nominal acknowledgments of the shared continuity and telling their own independent stories. So I doubt it'll even come up. From what I gather, the two versions tell basically the same story in broad strokes, just differing in detail, and broad strokes are usually all that matter where feature film series continuity is concerned.

Oh, now that is just mean.
But what if it's successful enough that it causes Warner Brothers to pivot back to the darker Snyder vision for the franchise? Personally, I think that would be a mistake. It's probably unlikely, but you never know.
I doubt it, they were already moving away from that before Justice League.

I'm pretty sure that's not going to be the case, we already know that Patty Jenkins and WB have plans for Wonder Woman 3, and I can't see them stepping away from any of these characters if the movies continue to bring in the numbers they have been. They're probably just going to continue to do things the way they have since JL, with the individual movies doing their own things, with just a few loose connections to the others.
