The Borg I imagined and wrote for the TNG producers were so much scarier and more powerful then they showed you on the show not only did they assimilate technology they assimilate people and their powers like the betazoid who are psychic and other species with amazing abilities and they were completely covered in nanites can make themselves look like whatever can make themselves look like other Federation citizens a single Warrior drone could rip open the outside of a ship with his bare hands climbing and assimilate everyone
When you wrote this for the TNG Producers, TNG was out of production for over 20 years. :p

Strangely, some writers do care about punctuation...

Rightly or wrongly, screenwriters are judged - at least at submission level - but how "good" their screenplays look ON the page. This means good spec script format is the ultimate must-have. But don't forget your spelling, punctuation and grammar will also come under the microscope, too. The good news is, there's more help than ever before on combatting this, whether it's buying apps or hiring proof readers. Before you do this however, you can save some dosh by checking your work for these 10 very common errors that you can fix RIGHT NOW.

So with Narek not coming back and his sister presumably dead, I guess the incest insinuations were just tawdriness for the sake of tawdriness?

I didn't really expect it to be explained, I suppose, but somehow I'm still disappointed it was entirely gratuitous.

I think it kind of served its purpose of making her look creepy and that they were both kind of twisted.

How do you defeat someone like that?

Even Superman has his kryptonite.

Some of you may know who Doug Drexler is, he worked on all of the post TOS Star Trek TV series (before DSC) first as a makeup guy and later a model/ship artist.

I was watching a recent interview with him on TrekYards, apparently one of the reasons he hasn’t watched Picard (or Discovery) is because he hated ST09 so much it turned him off from all new Trek completely. He felt insulted by the movie as a TOS fan.

I think this colors the judgment of a lot of people here too, quite frankly. It's unspoken several times, but I think that's the root of it.

What didn't he like about ST09?

I love Doug and his work, HOWEVER, Doug is one of the many old guard that doesn't like new Trek because they were not asked to be a part of it. Fan films treated him like a God and now he's working on Sharknado movies.........he comes across as bitter.

You could have a series with the Enterprise-H in the year 2470 (gotta work the 47 in there!) with fixed camera shots, forehead aliens, a Dennis McCarthy soundtrack that sounds like it's from 1993, complete with unused TOS, TNG, or VOY scripts that have been re-purposed with only the names of the characters changed... and they'd still find a way to say it sucks.
