There really are a ton of those vids.
As far as how hard can a cat hit? @think 's original video took a powder, but this was always a favorite of mine.
It's pretty hard when you can hear it.

How does your cat get your attention like to feed or for play him/her/them?
Ours goes on a shelf behind me, when I am sitting or laying on the couch and she meows right in my ear, very loudly!!

My cat Charlie will try attacking my ankles if she wants attention. It's pretty effective.
Junior gets on the coffee table every night, so he can block our view of the TV. If you move your head, he bobs and weaves to keep blocking your view. Then he'll howl in his most sad and pitiful voice, as if he's starving -- even though he just ate 10 minutes ago.
Ours all give us the Stare-Ub-Starbashun!!! And follow us around until we feed them at the same times as always 7am and 6:30pm. We had kids and cannot be guilted into early dinners hahahaha. Just snacks and lots of pets.
In other words, a typical cat.
