For those DS9 and other Siddig television and film project fans who may or may not be aware, Sid's been hosting Zoom meetings with fans and late last month Andrew Robinson participated. I highly recommend watching or even subscribing to the Sid City YouTube account to follow Siddig's videos with his fans.

I was actually in the first of these Zoom meetings with Sid a couple of weeks back, which was a wonderful experience. He has an amazing group of fans and has a great way of interacting with them. I was too shy to say something myself, but listening to Sid and the anecdotes of his fans was a cool way to spend the evening. I should definitely check back into one of those.

Given Sid and Andy's comments in this video and elsewhere, I think they'd both be game (especially Andy).

I would love to see them both back in Picard or some other Star Trek series, especially Garak who is one of my absolute Star Trek favorites.

    That is a great idea!
A Stitch In Time is an excellent book. Incredibly well-written.

Alas, there's probably nowhere to put them, but I'd love for the two to show up like on Season 3 or somewhere of PIC. Like, they could have probably fit into the Bjayzl episode or that world, I think. Though, I know, "small-universe syndrome" (I'm usually the one arguing against it).

I'm not sure what the plan is for Short Treks or whether there will be any episodes that tie into PIC, but it would be a good avenue for "Where Are They Now?" style vignettes catching up with various TNG/DS9/VOY characters. I think this would be a bit more practical than squeezing these characters into the series proper, and would avoid the "small universe" problem as the episodes wouldn't necessarily need to intersect with Picard's storyline.

Im on the final few episodes of a DS9 rewatch and the destruction of Cardassia is pretty horrific and Damar often talks of deaths in the millions with a very scarred and damaged people add that to Bajor and the Federation, Odos influence in the link and the future of the Dominion I think a Short Trek anthology series on DS9 would be perfect for me as I see so many threads that could be picked up

Like honestly, I think we’re into something with this Short Treks idea. CG being what it is today, they could do a lot with very little sets. It could be a great way to build a greater interest in say a DS9 limited series? They could use just a couple of actors at a time and pay them not too too much — the exposure and possibility of a new series could be the main draw? I dunno, but it would be FANTASTIC to have Garak and Bashir at come cafe somewhere having a multilevel conversation just dripping with possibility in a new series, while also being fully enjoyable as its own franchise installment completely not-dependent in anything else. I mean, how sad would it be for the actors to make their last hurrah as the characters a pitch that leads nowhere? But yeah, I could see Garak and Bashir, maybe Kira saying goodbye to Odo...how about Jadzia and Ezri at her zhian’tara?

    Heres my pitch
EP1: Garak and Julian in a cafe having a conversation dripping with into on the Cardassian situation
Garak can namedrop the man in his life (To mess with the shoehorn people) and Julian says Ezri is on Trill for a ritual

    Leading to
EP2: Jadzia and Ezri at her zhian’tara which will namedrop some of the old cast and how they are doing with special menion of Nogs untimely fate and end with a little mention of Bajor to bring us into

EP3: Kiras story which will be a mostly political affair dealing with the now FED member Bajor on the eve of a big summit set on DS9 and feature 2 very famous Ferengi and end with her signing of on a travel pass for

EP4: Jake Sisco to go the Gamma Quadrant writing a news story on the long term fallout of the war and the fate of the Jem Hadar and Vorta post white and with the cloning facilities gone. It will end with him entering the wormhole and getting a very special visit for a big emotional finish.

Cant really fit an O ' Brien story in and dont think Meaney would do it anyway
And for Odo it would be mentioned by Kira that he is happy but after 30yrs in the link as a hive mind he is not really Odo as we know it anymore

Nothing in mind for Quark, Rom, and Leeta? Surely by this time, Moogie would be running Ferenginar openly, not just behind the scenes...

My brain must have been shielding me from that dumb plot

I always just assumed Rom was assassinated shortly after the finale.

They could do a show rather not unlike this one; I suspect Garak would make a stand-in for Diana whereas Dr Bashir is the Tom archetype incarnate:

Now who's going to be up for Jane? Or better yet, Harvey?
