Hmm... Looks like they specifically called out this one! Also... This is just my personal opinion, but I did not enjoy the Rebels trilogy at all. It is basically one of the only Star Trek multi-book storylines that I started, but couldn't bring myself to finish.
Color me saddened; the only title that hasn't been discounted semi-recently is Bless the Beasts. Looks like a light month of shopping.
The new offers are now available to UK readers, although we're getting Unity and The Left Hand of Destiny books rather than the Rebels trilogy.
Warpath back down to 99 cents. It'd been there for quite some time and then popped back up to a 'normal' ST kindle book (of that era) price.
Can anyone confirm if Aftermath is the omnibus or the novella when bought through Kindle? The link is confusing because it shows the cover with #29, but the reviews seem to be for the omnibus.
The $0.99 Kindle edition is definitely the omnibus; I’ve just bought it to check. (Confusingly, there’s also another Kindle version of the omnibus with slightly better formatting that is currently priced at $11.99.) The $0.99 version doesn’t have a cover in the Kindle file, which might be why they stuck the novella cover on there.
Hey everyone... Its pretty obvious, but all the May ebook deals are live now on Amazon. Just FYI, -Koric
Yeah, just bought it. Contents: Aftermath, Ishtar Rising, Buying Time, Collective Hindsight, The Demon
Anyone have any info on how to contact Amazon to fix a cover image, or how to send them a hi-res one? This has been an issue with a lot of the early "numbered" TNG books, but the Bless the Beasts image is a particular travesty - blurry and monochromatic.
Considering that the same image is used on the Simon and Schuster page for Bless the Beasts, Amazon probably got it from them, and wouldn’t replace it unless S&S sent them a new one. You used to be able to add your own product images to supplement Amazon’s main one, but now the only way to add images is in a product review.
There's usually a section near the bottom of the product page to report issues, including quality/formatting.
Today in the UK, the government has dropped VAT on eBooks. But Amazon is cheating you on Star Trek eBooks. The Unsettling Stars is still £7.99. But at ebooks.com, the same eBook is £6.66. ebooks.com has Star Trek eBooks without VAT yet Amazon has them with VAT.
IMHO, you got the better end of that deal! I think the 99 cent Warpath deal from before was one of those US-only sale prices. I think this is the first time it has been part of the monthly sales, which Canada gets as well. I was happy to pick it up! For any Canadian Kobo customers wondering, I bought this today, and it was the omnibus version there, too. Even though the listing only has the description for #29, and, as Brendan mentioned, there is another listing that is explicitly for the omnibus, and they have different ISBNs and everything. The only real giveaway is that the regular price is given as C$9.99, which was the price of the other S.C.E. MMPB omnibuses (I don't think Aftermath was ever released in that format?) versus the C$16.99 for the TP omnibuses, and the C$7.99 individual numbered S.C.E. ebooks. I don't know if this was the case with Kindle, but for Kobo, last month's Flashback also had a monochrome cover.
That's not an Amazon issue, that's just the way a lot of ebook are. I've gotten e-books on Nook, Google Books, and Kindle that all didn't have the covers. I've seen it from a bunch of the different publishers, so it's not just a publisher specific issue either.
I have long dreamt of a Unity discount. It, Rising Son, Fearful Symmetry, and The Soul Key are the only DS9R books set on the original station that haven't yet gone on sale.
