E-Book Pricing Alerts

There's a site up for April 2020. US Amazon currently has regular prices for all of these, but the site currently lists:
Strangers from the Sky
To the Stars (George Takei's memoir)
The Fearful Summons
Star Trek: The Original Series: Excelsior: Forged in Fire (I just had to include all three colons there)
And four from Voyager:
Flashback
The Eternal Tide
Echoes, and
Mosaic.

Pretty unexciting list.

Strangers From the Sky is an absolute classic and a "giant novel" in many senses of the phrase. I'm excited for that one, if you couldn't tell. Forged in Fire and The Eternal Tide are also very good. Mosaic is solid origin material for Janeway.

Pretty unexciting list.

I love Strangers From the Sky, and so I'm excited about this list just to get that one in a digital format! (Hopefully it's still on the list by the time April rolls around; since it's still early March, things may end up changing.)

Isn't most of the list books that haven't been discounted before? (I'm not at home so I can't check.) So at least there's that...

The Fearful Summons, Forged in Fire, and The Eternal Tide have all been part of earlier sales.

The Fearful Summons may be the worst Trek novel I’ve ever read. Deadly dull. Mosaic, Echoes and The Eternal Tide are strong Voyager entries covering a the whole range - pre, post and during the series.

It's not a Trek book, but it is by a Trek author so I think it's appropriate for this thread. @Greg Cox's Batman novel The Court of Owls is marked down from $10.99 to $5.41.

April is George Takei's birth-month. I'm surprised "The Captain's Daughter" isn't on there. Sulu is in "Flashback" as well, obviously.

If forged in fire is still discounted I would say buy it immediately, I'm a bit biased because I love Sulu so much but it is amazing, top 5 for me

April is George Takei's birth-month.

They look to be all Takei/Sulu and Janeway focused books for April.

I was looking at the April sale page just now. I don't recall this being on the page before (but my apologies if it was there and I've just forgotten), but now they seem to be actually calling out the reasons the various books were included in this month's sale, and @Corran Horn was exactly right on the reason for the Sulu-focused books.

Strangers From the Sky
- Celebrate First Contact Day on April 5th!
(I am very happy to be getting this book as part of this sale, but the First Contact novelization would have also been an obvious tie-in to this one! ;) )

The Eternal Tide, Echoes and Mosaic
- Celebrate Kate Mulgrew's birthday on April 29th!

To The Stars, The Fearful Summons, Forged in Fire
- Celebrate George Takei's birthday on April 30th! (MA says April 20, so I'm not sure which is correct?)

Flashback
- Nothing specifically mentioned, but does feature *both* Sulu and Janeway, so... ;)

I wonder if commemorating specific dates is going to be the general theme for all their 2020 sales? If so, what might we possibly see in May? According to MA, there are actually very few main character performers with birthdays in May:
  • Colm Meaney (Force and Motion?)
  • John Billingsley (Live by the Code?)
  • Doug Jones (Fear Itself?)
(I didn't check Kelvin Timeline performers, since there are no books other than the two novelizations, and I didn't check Picard performers, since there is only the one book so far.)

I could see them doing books with connections to episodes or movies that premiered that month, or characters who first appeared in an episode that aired that month.
