I hope the offer you made was low - because the two are just good to unpack
But yes General Chang is also one of my favorite Klingon :klingon: - did you know that General Chang is also available as a figure variant - the gloves are not painted there

I don’t think I ever had Chang. I know I had Kruge though.

Still a shame we never got the TOS crew in the 2-6 movie uniforms (not counting Kirk, Checkov and Scotty from Generations due to the crappy articulation).

Dax did have very tall hair in that episode. ;)

The Klingon dog/lizard (below) that accompanies the ERTL Klingon Captain Kruge actually goes very well with the taller Playmates' Kruge figure.

TMP had so many new aliens, and they barely showed them, and many were never seen again.

A number of alien ambassadorial robes from TMP did pop up again in ST IV, and TMP's aliens were often well used in the LA Times Syndicate's daily comic strips. More recently, the post-TMP novels from Christopher L Bennett ("Ex Machina", "The Higher Frontier", etc.) have given names and personalities to many of them.

It's understandable why Meyer and Bennett tossed them all in the trash, but somewhat surprising that Roddenberry didn't use any of them in TNG. I suppose he didn't take particular ownership of them.

If you have some of those lousy Galoob figures in the packaging, you might be able to sell them for a decent amount (if anyone is buying).

And a few years before that, Ertl released a small line of action figures for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. They had more points of articulation than the Galoob TNG figures.

I worked on the DS9 game published by Playmates Interactive and worked in their offices in Torrence, CA a time or two. On one visit I saw parts for a TOS tricorder...full size sitting in an office, not the smaller scale one they ended up releasing.

I remember that game. I dont think I ever got past the part where Sisko is navigating some elevators on DS9 (lol)

Well, I was browswing my local flea market a few months ago, and this one seller had a bunch of playmates Trek merchandise. A lot of figures, all new in the packaging, some 5", some 9", some 12". He had some playmates ships, but mostly it was the figures.

I started looking through the racks, and realized the guy had a complete set of Voyager figures (minues Chakotay in his uniform, Tom Paris, and Tuvok) and he was selling for only $4 a piece, new. So I bought the lot of them. He also had a borgified seven, Neelix in VOY uniform, and Seven in her purple catsuit (some mail away figure) and Janeway in the TWOK uniform from "Flashback". all $4 and I figured "What the hell." Since then, I bought Chakotay and Paris off ebay, (Tuvok I bought many years ago when I was a kid and put away in storage) so now I have the whole crew, aliens included!

I have them all hanging on display now and it looks awesome. I will try to post pictures after work.

Once I grabbed all the figures, I thought "what's next" and then I also ended up purchasing Voyager NIB off ebay :)

My wallet I hope will recognize one day that this sport is a dangerous, dangerous game. But that day will not be today

One perk of working with Playmates is they would now and then ship me a box of new starship toys. :)

I envy you quite a bit! That is a nice job perk that I would have readily welcomed.

One of my grandparents worked for Frito Lay many years ago. Every now and then he managed to get us some cool stuff. I remember when my brother and I were kids, he got us this 4 foot tall Woody doll from Toy Story. They were used as store displays when the first movie came out in 1995.

We were so ungrateful at the time. We asked why he didn't get us the spaceman.

If I could go back in time and slap my younger self without having the universe implode on itself per Dr. Brown's explanation of the possible consequences of running into your past self in BTTF Part II, I would.

I have both of these dudes. I typically really like Klingon action figures.
