Seven of Nine is back in ST: Picard

Look how she casually, disrespectively kicked over the side dead/unconscious Tal Shiar officers as part of her "clean up" (partially understandable after a ton of XBs got spaced). Hugh "had" to die, because he was de facto leader of the XBs (and now she's their "queen").

They seized the cube. They mutilated the crew.

As I watched this one, I wondered "Where's Seven?" :vulcan:

Then she showed up and I was screaming, "KICK HER ASS, SEVEN!" :bolian:

Looks like Seven may be a regular member of the crew next year. If not she will at least have a reason to visit La Sirena regularly. :luvlove:

Zero issue with Seven being bi/pan/gay, but some forshadowing -- like, did those two have a single conversation before the end scene?? -- would have been nice.

It looks like Seven...

Hooked up with Raffi.

Well, I'm not sure that holding hands meets the required parameters for 'hooking up.'

And I wonder whether the next showrunner will end up actually expanding on it or just ignore it completely.

I have no issue either, although I have to wonder whether this is just someone getting out their personal 'Seven is a lesbo' slash fantasy.

From Chabon's latest string of Instagram Q&As:

Can we hope for the (Seven-Raffi) relationship to be explored in season 2?
I hope I don't get in trouble for saying, yes.

Everyone that had a problem with C7 remember this... ;)
I kid, really.

Seriously, I like Seven and Raffi just fine (if this is where we are even headed) and, yes there was no real buildup, but visible/obvious buildup doesn't always happen in life (esp. when right at the very beginnings of the potential) and their characters have a lot of similarities with each other... seriously this makes more sense than C7 from a "logic" stance, which is meaningless in matters of romance anyway.

Well, this is THE scene proving that Seven turned on women lately. Of course, she could be bi-sexual but for the moment, she found women more attractive! That's being said, 2 comments to make:

- First, as cute it is, it makes no sense so a few interaction they had together in previous episodes, like if we revisited Seven/Chakotay all over again. It's like they just decided to toss it in there at the last minute. That being said, maybe, they wait to see how 7o9/Raffi is received. So, if it doesn’t get a good response, then it can be written off as a non sexual affectionate gesture or something like that... .
I hope for Seven of Nine to become a regularin s2. Or at least, she will have a arc developping this storyline. I mean, it would be weird to hint at a relationship between the two and then she isn't around for season 2, right?!

- Second, on a more light tone, Chakotay turns all the girls gay?! . Ok,, I'm leaving :D:whistle:

Picard and Seven knew each other, or at the very least knew of each other. It stands to reason that Seven and Raffi (who'd served with Picard) had previous interaction as well, even if only tangentially.

I see another, bigger question here...who believes Seven even likes playing Kalto, much less wants to teach it to Raffi.

The one time she played the game on Voyager, Seven beat the pants off Master Tuvok with her one and only move.

;)

After the travesty that was C/7, :censored: people want to know if Seven and Raffi ever had a conversation before the flirtatious hand scene. :brickwall:

Of course they did.

"Deleted scene"

SEVEN: Hey Raffi, ever play Kotiskot?
RAFFI: Not since I was 11 years old. Do you know any more challenging games, Seven?
SEVEN: Well, there was this Vulcan strategy game we used to play in the Delta Quadrant...
RAFFI: Ohhhh, do you mean Kalto? I've seen that game but was never courageous enough to play it.
SEVEN: I could teach you.
RAFFI: Excellent! Let me replicate the game.
RIOS: You can't replicate it, but you can borrow mine, I got it from a Vulcan client as partial payment for a job I did for him. (He winks at Raffi as he hands over the game.)
RAFFI: Thanks, Cris, don't you have some place you need to go? Now.
RIOS: Fine, fine, I guess the dilithium matrx could use a diagnostic scan.
SEVEN: Or two.

:luvlove:

What we saw was what we never saw on Voyager, the beginning of Seven's relationship and I am cool with that as long as Seven's drinking doesn't drag Raffi back to the bar.

This song kept coming to mind:

I just realised most of Voyager's senior staff are xB's. Janeway, Tuvok and B'Elanna were all Borgified in "Unimatrix Zero".

I wonder if any of them weren't there because Bejayzal or whatever her name was alreadt got to them before Icheb?

IIRC, the EMH removed their BORG hardware when they returned from their mission to save Seven's friends in unimatrix zero. Since they, like Picard, were only assililated a short time, it was easier to get rid of the hardware.

Seven made a cryptic comment at the end of Picard. She promised herself to 'Never again kill someone just because it's what they deserve. Because it feels wrong for them to still be alive."

I wonder who she's talking about.

I know she's talking about Narek's sister Narissa, (edited to say I hate spellcheck!) but I wonder who the first kill was that she regrets.

I highly doubt she is already regretting avenging Icheb with Bjayzl's death, so who does that leave us with?

Did she avenge Chakotay or Janeway 14 years ago and did that lead her to her current job as a Fenris ranger?

I took it 100% as a reference to vaporising Bjayzl. But who knows what else she's done in the 20 years since Voyager?

To me she seemed to be referencing a burden she carried for years, whereas Bjayzl was a betrayal and hatred she carried for years. To already regret killing her just a few days ago seems unlikely.
