Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

We have a five-month old German shepherd/great Pyrenees. She is BIG and definitely needs time outside. We've been taking her to a huge dog park near us that typically has a handful of dogs in it. Luckily it's so big that the hoomans can stay well apart while our pups frolic. I'm not sure what the actual numbers of dog walkers is right now around town. As we live in an apartment, obviously anyone who has a dog has to walk them to do their business. It's nice to get her out and about amid all this foolishness.
I'm seeing dog walkers and even families out walking together. It looks so old fashioned, to see mom,dad and the kids out strolling around. It used to be like that when I was a little kid.
I live in a suburban area. Lots of parks and huge amounts of 'open space'.

It kind of reminds me of what happened after 9/11. There were so many people just out walking, trying to get away from the horrific news of the day. The streets were quiet and so were the skies. It was very surreal. Took the pup to doggie day care today. She was so excited. She'll have a good time and I know she will be wiped out by the time I go pick her up this afternoon.

Flocki.jpg

that's Flocki (Fluffy), my parents' dog. A German Shepherd & Rough Collie mix. The prob is he thinks he's mine: when I'm visiting, he's always following me around and ignoring everyone else. That makes dad extremely jealous. The secret is: contrary to dad, I give clear commands: what is allowed is always allowed and what is forbidden is always forbidden. Also, I can throw the ball more excitingly randomly than dad :D

@Gary Mitchell that's exactly the thing for our Fluffy, what with having to live with two 80 year olds who rarely ever throw a ball for a poor ball-addicted dog. Do you happen to know what that machine is called or by wich company it's produced? That'd make it easier for me to find a distributor in my country.

i didn't know but I just looked around online. I think that this is the one but there are other brands: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072J4KCVP/?tag=woofdog-20-1
Petsafe automatic ball launcher.

thank you! Unfortunately, it's currently sold out in Germany and ordering from abroad is a bit risky atm, since from one day to the next the airports might get closed. But that's definitely on my post-corona to-do-list. Thanks on behalf of a bored dog! =)
