Oh you've heard things? Good for you. Maybe come back when you have seen it and formed an actual opinion for yourself. More hit and runs like this will get you a warning for trolling. CBSAA is running a special now, you could watch for free for month with the promo code GIFT.

I feel like Star Trek used to be pretty linear. These two new shows have established it can diverge in numerous directions simultaneously.

Is this not the oppertunity to find out for yourself? How many times have people told you Star Trek is crap, and did you believe them?

New ruling on this: Your recent posting history has consisted entirely of drive-by trolling and flaming, which has earned you four Warnings in as many months, the last one having been earned for your last post prior to this one. Thus we're going straight to another Warning for this, and for any such posts in the future. I don't know what your game is, but if you keep up like this, it won't be our problem much longer. Comments to PM.

All of CBS all access if free for a month to people that subscribe to it , giving payment details and agreeing to pay after the free month. This is what a lot of streaming services do to try and get you hooked. Maybe they have a shareholder meeting coming up and they need to sneakily inflate their subscriber numbers to give the false impression than lots of people like Kurtzman trek...

I binge watched Picard like 8 hours straight or something like that to get caught up. The first 3 or 4 were kind of tough to get through nonstop but from like 5 forward it was great. Is it a spoiler to say Riker got chunky? Looked like every meal was pizza and wine. LOL!

A lot of people do like Kurtzman Trek. That's why they keep renewing shows and have even more in the development que.

People do like Kurtzman Trek or they (brace yourselves) wouldn't keep making it.

Corporations don't make it a point to shove good money after bad. So, maybe, and hold for this one, maybe people just happen to like current Trek.

    Just a wild theory.

This is probably more of a result of many people being confined in their homes due to the Coronavirus. It’s good public relations to do this for people.

Would either of you happen to have reliable viewing figures for these kurtzman trek shows so we can prove/disprove your assertion?

The fact that the Trek universe is expanding with more shows on the way is proof enough that CBS see current trek as a viable product. You don't commission multiple series that cost $8 million per episode if it's proven to not be a cash cow.

You need to learn to accept that a lot of people don't share your world view :)

So no reliable viewing figures for Picard or DIS which has 2 full series then?. You seem think CBS and all media companies don’t make mistakes or throw good money after bad or keep throwing things at the wall and see what sticks or keep paying the only franchise they have that not been flogged to dead like the police procedurals that CBS only seems to air. Star Trek is the only franchise that CBS that sets them apart from others and they saw that Star Trek 09 made money so they’ll just keep chasing that model of Star Trek until someone sees sense and changes course. For those that says Trek needs to evolve and change to survive has never heard of the Orville....
