How's everyone else doing with everything?
Many states in the U.S. have completely different textbooks, so what's taught in Kansas ain't what you get in New Jersey, let alone outside the country.Strange, I remember learning about AUs in grade school. Maybe somebody else skipped the day that was taught?![]()
Oakland, here. I've been trying to meet up with Donny for coffee or something for a while but our schedules haven't coincided when I am (typically) in San Jose weekly. Not now, though! You know, I hadn't realized Donny's threads were such a Bay Area social club (deep in the heart of Silicon Valley, for me). We should have a meet-up!

Oh, right...
At this point, I'm quite convinced that I should've started working from home months ago. I'm... oh, how to describe it... more-or-less a render technician, so a lot of my office-time is spent waiting for one batch of processing-jobs to finish so I can move the output to where it goes and set up the next batch. I can get a lot more done for myself and for work by taking care of my own business during the time I'd normally be raptly watching a constellation of progress bars and console output half-hoping something might go wrong so I'll have something to do, and kicking off one last set of operations technically after I've done my eight hours. I'll have to have a talk with my boss once the crisis is over about keeping this going long-term. Assuming, of course, that my contract outlasts the crisis.
I haven't quite adjusted to the new normal yet (I'm mostly enjoying getting more sleep), but I'm hoping to get back to 3D work soon. I don't think anything Trek-related is near the top of my list, though they're on there. I think I've got enough reference to take a good whack at the V'Ger interior chamber, I need to pick out an Enterprise-Refit model to resurface in Lightwave's PBR system at some point, and I've also got that TOS-ified Discoprise I started out on before I got disappointed by Discovery's second season finale.
That's a great shot!Donny - here's a fresh shot from Trekcore that I've never seen.

Seriously doubt it.Was Doohan really playing them?
So I admit that "working" in such a dark, dank environment such as the K't'inga bridge has lost it's appeal due to the quarantine and my depression and anxiety ramping up as a result. I've still got this project on my mind, but may need to switch to something more clean and bright for a bit. I had no motivation to work on it over the weekend, and was delighted instead by taking screenshots and videos of my clean and polished Refit Enterprise engineering sets. I apologize for those looking forward to progress but I'm just going to regroup for a few days and see if there's something that working on would lift my moods a bit better.
How's everyone doing out there?
Makes perfect sense, Donny. Do what you need to do. After all, you're not getting paid for this work. If it's not fun, no need to force yourself to do it.So I admit that "working" in such a dark, dank environment such as the K't'inga bridge has lost it's appeal due to the quarantine and my depression and anxiety ramping up as a result.
