What are Sutra's motivations? Power? She was the one who hurt her fellow synths by releasing Narek.

Also Narek can kill an android so easily? This doesn't strike Soong as odd? I thought androids activated and were super strong and super fast when in danger.

Definitely a setup episode. There seems to be a lot to wrap up next week.

Was hoping Seven and the Borg Cube were going to help defeat the Romulan fleet. Now I'm really hoping we get to see a Federation fleet with the Enterprise-E swoop in to the rescue.

Not really sure what Narek is up to now.

Does anyone think that advanced android that Soong is making might be used by Picard? It would solve the issue caused by the defect in his brain, but would probably destroy the character.
I thinking that Seven will have some kind of Borg Weapon working when the Romulans arrive.

Narek is going to run into Elnor ... and get his just deserts.

I really doubt Jean-Luc will willingly let his consciousness be placed into a Synth body.
It would mean letting Soong Jr. (DATA) die again for his behalf.

I think there's more to Sutra and Narek than we have been shown at the moment.
Is Narek able to manipulate a Synth?
Obviously Soji is no longer susceptible though.

There's going to be some sort of twist in Episode 10 that can't be foreseen from the end of Episode 9.

But one thing I do foresee is that it'll be Seven who brings the cavalry, not Starfleet. Starfleet saving the day is everything this series isn't, so it won't be them.

I'll need to rewatch it, but this is the first episode I wasn't initially keen on. The character moments, the attention to the small details of world-building, and the deliberate pace were largely absent. It felt to me like far too much far too fast, with character choices, like Soji's, that didn't feel motivated, and character beats, like Picard meeting Soong, that didn't have room to breathe. Not sold on Akiva's direction, which is also a first in what was a stellar season.

I guess I'll need to watch again. I did like the twist with the Admonition, and there were some decent moments. But this felt like a different show, lacking the lyricism that sold me on this series from the start. I wish I didn't feel so down on it.

The Borg cube bursting into flame as it enters the atmosphere may be the coolest visual of this entire episode. That was impressive. I just wish we'd gotten another shot of it plummeting from a distance before it impacted.

When Sutra showed up she gave out a creepy vibe. I immediately didn't trust her. Something was really off about her.

If we do see a Starfleet armada next week I bet Admiral Clancy will be leading it.though it could be Riker I suppose.

I think Dr. Soong's son takes more after his ancestor Arik more than he does his father. He came off a bit sinister.
