COVID is on track to kill 100,000+ just this year in the best case scenario. 1,000,000+ if people don't take it seriously. Thankfully, now that a certain public figure and his allies have stopped lying in a sad attempt to bullshit a virus away, the PA campaign has taken a turn in the last couple days.

I, for one, am stocking up on "I told you sos" for use in the holiday family get togethers. There are a lot of posts, like yours, that are aging like fine milk.

Level-headed health experts and authorities have specifically called for people not to give this virus an ethno-geographical name, recognizing that it can exacerbate the stigmatizing and bullying which has already been going on. Even in schoolyards (before the school closures), kids of Asian ethnicity have been harassed. Let's be better than that.

So are a lot of Chinese people living in the US were born here too and only speak English but they are still being attacked by people spreading this Chinese Flu nonsense, something you are doing. So yes some people are stupid and assholes and they don't get to be dismissed because they find it funny. And I'm never going to find the suffering of others to be funny, it's sociopathic.

Social programs are good for those that need them, but the nanny state telling me that after 8pm some virus needs me to not be shopping or eating or drinking in a certain place is not my idea of something I need as an adult American citizen to be told by the overlord government.

Usually I at least get what you're talking about, but this seems like word salad. What particular Overton window are you trying to reference?
