Corona Impact On Shows

You hear a lot about Hollywood beeing in trouble these days, lots of shows have halted production. I haven´t heard anything about Trek beeing impacted though. Picard 2 is supposed to start filming in may I think...they might delay that by a few months ( I would...their star is in the "risk demographic").

There hasn't been anything for Trek to be impacted by yet. Disco finished filming at the end of February, so they're in the clear. Section 31, as mentioned will likely face a delay. Otherwise, the virus shouldn't have much of an impact on Star Trek in general.

Post-production may be impacted, and post-production on Trek is extensive.

Although they may be merrily working from home, I don't know.

I think it will depend solely on how long this is considered a global pandemic. With other productions and entire studios still shutting down left and right, we could still be very early in this mess and a two-month shutdown could be optimistic, or even wishful thinking. I really hope that this won't impact Trek too badly, but I'm also prepared for the worst-case scenario of a disruption of a year or more.

Picard season 2 was meant to start in March, according to Stewart. Haven't heard anything about that one.
