She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

How many hours past bed time can one stay up?

My wife passed out, with three episodes left, so I had to stop as well.

I haven't even started watching the new season it but I know I'll want to binge the whole thing!

First off, I’m so happy we got 13 episodes this season!

I’m glad Scorpia has finally realized that Catra isn’t her friend and doesn’t care about her.

I felt bad for Glimmer being left out the Adventures but I don’t think she should get all friendly with Shadow Weaver.

I’m happy Entrapta is still around and I can’t wait for the Glimmer/Mika reunion!

Horde Prime is here and things are going to get way more intense!

Entertainment Weekly's article on the Final Season.

Noelle mentions 52 total eps, so if my maths are right, since we've had 39, that leaves just 13 more slices of She-Ra to savour. This ought to be epic.

Yeah. Netflix calls it five seasons, but it's really four 13-episode seasons, the second of which was released in two stages a few months apart.

As Christopher mentioned, this final batch of episodes is the last of the four sets of 13 episodes each that Noelle and Co. were given the resources and support to produce by DreamWorks from the beginning, and is only labeled as Season 5 because of the decision to split the second batch of ordered episodes in half across two different releases.

Was there ever a question of that character being exclusive to one show/incarnation? I mean they're both Netflix joints, right?

No.
I doubt She-Ra will be on it though since she never was on the original show and this is billed as a "continuation" of it.

She was in He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special. And both shows were in the same continuity, so if the Kevin Smith show purports to be in that continuity as well, there's no reason it couldn't bring in the She-Ra characters (though of course they would be the Filmation versions and not the Noelle Stevenson versions).

I honestly wouldn't put money on it either way.

I mean on the one hand, sure, originally the He-Man crossovers were decidedly one way as production wise, She-Ra was made after He-Man was all in the can. So there's no real obligation to include her, much less her extended cast, which would bring a whole other layer of complication.
On the other hand Kevin Smith loves deep cut nerd stuff, so I honestly wouldn't put it past him to find somewhere to get her in, someway, somehow, even if it's just a shot of the Sword of Protection in Greyskull.

Also, for what it's worth, he did mention on his podcast that apart from the cast/character names they've already announced, there's a whole bunch of really cool ones that they're keeping quiet about for now. So who knows?

I certainly wouldn't mind if we didn't have to wait another 30+ years to get another version of She-Ra, but for now I'm just looking forward to seeing the final season of this one and kinda hoping for spin-offs and/or sequel.

I believe Smith was asked about She-Ra and he said that we would not be seeing her in the first season but the door was open for season 2. I guess time will tell. If they do bring her back, I sure hope it is more akin to her 80's look.

You all got shivers watching that, right? It wasn't just me? Ooh, that song...

Very likely be a loooong wait before I can watch this, but it'll be worth it. Oh, my, will it be worth it.

ETA: Belatedly realised it's the main theme, slowed down...and sung by AJ Michalka...aka Catra. Gaaaaaahhh...
