Picard=The Cage

Season 2 takes place from the perspectives of Geordi, Worf, (possibly Beverly), and the Real Bruce Maddox™.

With Rios and the Real Bruce Maddox fighting over Jurati. Ha! Rios will find another lady soon....

In my view, without the Dahj/Soji twins, and their possible siblings, there's no Picard. The series revolves around them as much as it does Picard. They're core to the series.

The whole point of Picard is that Picard is making a difference. Hanging out in the vineyard doesn't do that. And just having TNG characters makes it TNG 2.0.

Geordi: Anyone hear from Picard lately?
Worf: Still at the vineyard, I guess
Bev: We don't really talk anymore.
Bruce: How am I in this text chain?
Brilliant season, everyone!
Brian! My man, Alex wants to talk to you about this idea for a sixth series he's working on...seventh, if you count Chabon's Fenris thing... Working title to far is Maddox in Winter...

And everyone's forgetting Troi!!

I wouldn't mind if they ditched Jurati and Elnor. Take Laris and Zhaban instead. But I'm guessing they need a couple of younger characters for the target groups, so...

STAR TREK: The Brophy Files

Boyce and Pike are McCoy and Kirk. All they did was change names and actors.

And changed the dynamic of the show from good to legendary.

Anyway, I just finished watching the last episode and noticed the first flicker of chemistry between Rios and Raffi and co.

Solid episode.

Loved Seven saying “We are the Borg.”

Still finding myself pissed they killed off Hugh.

Let me clarify: I don’t *hate* Rios, Raffi or Jurarti.

I just wish the onscreen chemistry and character development had been better, and more pronounced earlier in the season.

Ah. Finally. Someone's talking about a Star Trek - Brophy spin-off!

Who will be the cast:

1. Brian Brophy as Maddox
2. Brent Spiner
3. Gates McFadden
4. Santiago Cabrera as Rios, ferrying a lonesome Tom Paris (the Paris from Non-Sequitur)
5. Amanda McBroom as JAG officer
6. Patrick Stewart (who once had a romance with Louvious)
7. Armin Shimerman as Quark (I'd love to see scenes between Quark, Rios and Paris)

Ha! This is my dream show!

For this I'm sad, too. Jonathan del Arco pulled it quite off.

Yeah, Seven is taking a break!

As to Seven:

I think the existing story arc has a long way to go yet before it's over...

But if you were to go drastically different....

  • Maybe Raffi reunites with her son on Free Cloud after the truth comes out and only guests in an episode of Season 2 like Riker.
  • Elnor dashes off with Seven to bring order to the former Neutral Zone. (see: Fenris series)
  • And Rios maybe gets involved with Soji and they develop a life together wherein he rejoins Starfleet planetside and she discovers herself.
  • Jurati, of course, dies killing in turn Commodore Oh.

Season 2 is about Picard...

...on the run from Starfleet after seemingly disastrous if well-meaning actions in the Season 1 finale (think letting Hugh return to the Collective without the computer-virus...x1 Million) and with the Enterprise-F on his trail with Captain Worf in command, Picard-expert and ex-wife Beverly Crusher with him, and pissed-off Data-best friend La Forge, too.

This season, the Grim Reaper Q is visits Picard throughout as his Irumodic syndrome and dementia really start to kick in. Faces past and present, and enemies beyond imagination haunt the admiral as the clock ticks. Can Picard make things right in the Galaxy from the new greater threat that might kill them all before his, and everyone's, time is up?

...ideas to that effect.

Seven and Rios are more than just eye-candy for male and female fans.

Seven has ALWAYS been more than just eye candy.

Who knew that what Rick Berman intended to be nothing more than a hot piece of a$& to goose the ratings would go on to become one of the greatest characters in Trek? :adore:

I’m watching the last episode:

And I say, they pull a Cage and scrap the ENTIRE supporting cast.

Bring back Patrick Stewart, and his roommates.

Rios, Raffi, Jurarti are all cookie cutter stereotypes.

Wipe them out. ALL of them.

Awww ... The show doesn't match your Head Canon. </sarcasm>

Either write fanfics or deal. TPTB are not going to change for YOU. :shifty:
