That part I heard, but didn't get any feeling about the other part. It might be hopefulness from people put off by Narissa's behavior.

Other way round for me. I enjoyed The Mandalorian, but didn't feel attached to any of the characters, really. I didn't feel I had enough time with most of them to get attached. But I have become very attached to Picard's little motley crew. I'd hate to lose any of them.

I have heard some voice the opinion that they were upset with Data dying again.

For me, it was not emotionally troubling. I mean, he was dead before that episode, so we did not lose anything. And he was ready for it.

But the part that bugged me was that they did not try to save him. I mean, between Soong and Jurati, another body/Golem could be constructed. Even one that decays, like Picard's. He could have had a chance to actually LIVE a mortal life. With a more human apoearance.

And he punted. Mortality makes life precious. But because it is precious, we do not let go of it (or take it), lightly.

I did not hate the episode, but elements in there bugged me.
