Doesn't the Clancy conversation happen before he's talked to Jurati, though?

If Oh can just mind meld anyone into being Zhat Vash, how do we know Clancy hasn't been converted too?

Picard: Finally, the Starfleet squadron is here!
Rios: But why... are they targeting us?
    Picard: :(

Hey! Where did you find any??!! ;)

That was another character aspect of 2499 Picard - he DIDN'T really want to take anyone he loved (or even liked) along because he was pretty sure anyone with him (and himself) would die. He even said as much in Episode 2.

Yes his conversation with Clancy happens before he has the talk with Jurati.

I really do hope he told her, otherwise another Admiral is going to bite the dust.

I feel like the episode answered most of the season's mysteries in the most obvious, boring ways possible.

Tying Rios's backstory to the synths is a giant Space Coincidence that makes the universe feel too small.

The Zhat Vash were responsible for the Mars attack and also the reason the Borg cube got expelled from the collective.

Oh is half Romulan and half Vulcan. Her name matches my unenthusiastic reaction.

Seven is so reluctant to plug herself into the cube, but then she does, and then it's over without much consequence for her.

I rated the episode 5 for "meh." I didn't hate it but it sure didn't excite me.

I really dug the conversation between Soji and Picard, though. That was a satisfying bit of bonding and introspection.

By whom and how and why?
I can't tell if you're being deliberately obtuse here. The Jews weren't actually destroying humanity. In the context of the show, the Zhat Vash's concerns are based on verifiable evidence. Mein Kampf is not. That's the difference.
Before you said people would be so arrogant as to not heed the warning, now you're saying the Zhat Vash woudn't be believed in the first place? I wish you'd make up your mind. I'd like to point out that I've gotten 4 different explanations from 2 different people as to why the Zhat Vash have never come forward. That's not a good sign. You're also completely ignoring the evidence the Zhat Vash have...

Completely ignoring the evidence the Zhat Vash have is exactly what most people would do if they just were in the open preaching doom to anybody in the general vicinity. Do you read all those pamphlets printed in green Comic Sans that random people yelling on the sidewalks are distributing? They go straight into the first garbage bin you pass.

What I offered you were 2 different and separate scenarios, both hypothetical.
If the Zhat Vash came forward as a public lobby group and preached to the galaxy en masse, they'd just look like a doomsday cult and no one would bother looking at their evidence.
If they instead came forward on a smaller scale, targeting people researching synthetic life and showing them the evidence, that's when the arrogant researchers doubling down on their hubris would come into the picture.

Not to mention, and yes, this is another different explanation, the episode itself showed that the vast majority of people who were directly shown the Admonition immediately went insane and most tried to kill themselves... that's not really conductive to spreading it throughout the galaxy. Jurati probably only survived with her psyche mostly intact because she saw it second-hand through a mind-meld. Until we're shown otherwise, I'd say there haven't been a lot of people with Vulcan heritage in the Zhat Vash who could telepathically transfer the same visions. Depending on how the recording works, one might have to watch it directly to see the evidence. And if the device projects the visions directly into your skull, their emotional impact is probably lost if you're just seeing an abridged transcript or video footage extracted via mind-probes. Without seeing the vision directly through the portal on the planet, your only context is most likely a random Romulan telling you "this is what happens if AI is allowed to exist", after which you're treated to some generic doomsday footage intercut with androids and fetuses. I'd guess in that case most people would only say "OK, robots and boom-boom, so what?", and walk away.

Wait a minute! You've just misrepresented what we have seen happen in the series. The Zhat Vash deliberately manufactured an uprising in order to force the annihilation of the synths. Who is being obtuse?

I was suspicious of that scene. I took it as she had some ulterior motive. That he was to meet the fleet there, which would apprehend him. Just the feeling I got watching it.

What if it is all a ruse and Clancy is luring Picard into a trap? What if she actually told the fleet that Picard is insane and he needs to be stopped at all cost? Imagine if the fleet tries to stop Picard but Seven brings the Borg cube to save Picard. Imagine the role reversal where starfleet is fighting a Borg cube but starfleet are actually the "bad guys" and the Borg cube is the "good guy".

Or she just wants him under a watchful eye. I doubt Clancy wants a war, and she knows she can't stop the Hermit.

They had their various mysteries and subplots and now they are rushing into several reveals at once and when there's several reveals and limited space to do justice to those reveals, all the reveals winds up a bit of a damp squib. The characters from Picard down aren't really drawn that well. I'll give it a 5.

Yes, I really like the sound of that. Hoping they go that approach. A season where Picard and his rag tag crew go on a search through uncharted systems sounds fun!

Just came back from watching this episode. Voted 8. Not as good as the last episode. A bridging episode for me. We saw Rios and his holograms in all his facets and the return of Seven.

If all sides end up at the planet there will be the following:

Seven, Elnor and the Borg Cube - Perfectly placed to evacuate the planet if need be, isn't that lucky.
Romulan Tal'Shiar Fleet - Not friendly but that could change.
Starfleet Squadron - Probably friendly assuming that Clancy was warned.
Narek in his little ship - Probably going to end up friendly eventually.
Planet full of Synthetics - May have big pew pew weapons or not.
The true Big Bad if the Zhat Vash were right and its already too late.

Lots of possibilities there for betrayal, temporary alliances, face and heel turns depending on who gets there first, what information is revealed and to whom.

There could be a big battle or no battle at all.

EDIT: Hoping for Laris and Zhaban, someone has to talk down that Romulan fleet.

Clancy is not on Picards side as he is breaking the law and a treaty, unless I am missing something it is Clancys duty to destroy that illegally constructed fembot

I still think that the "Big Bad" is going to be Themselves and the "Admonition" is just a test left behind to see if the races of the galaxy can get past their own Bigotry and Fears.

It seems that there is this big confrontation coming (Space Battle) and I would guess that Jean-Luc and Seven are going to be the ones to arbitrate the peace.
