I didn't see any evidence of that in the show.
Isn't it kinda-sorta obvious at this point, he didn't create Dajh/Soji at the Star Fleet Labs and the only other place mentioned so far where he could have possibly accomplised anything like that is Capalius.
We've all assumed that he built them, but nothing he said or has shown to have done, really indicates that he did.

I mean, the Soji's triplets are based off Data's painting.
He was also the one who sent Soji and Dahj out to investigate the attack on Mars and the banning of Synths.

But it could have all been done on Capalius with the help of the preexisting Androids.

They did send out the Two who met with Rios and Captain Vandermeer earlier.

I'm really curious to see Soji's "homeworld" next week. Discovering Rios met her doppelganger nine years ago - along with another synth - means there's a whole civilization of them. How the heck did Maddox accomplish this all by his lonesome? Why did he even have a "lab" in the Federation if he had access to that stuff? Something doesn't quite add up.
He clearly didn't, or he must have had some serious help.

Highly likely that it was already there and he happened upon them, which makes me wonder if Soong did the same.

I was never convinced that Maddox was the maker of Soji and Dahj.

He is motivating, hence the sentence “motivating narrative tool”. He just has no personal stake. When this is over how will Picard be changed? What will he learn? Not in a mechanical, factual way. On a personal level.
Off the top of my head...

- come to terms with his guilt over data's death by saving his daughter/ brethren
- connecting to people after being rather lonely/ standoffish with most people
- trying to make right things that went wrong because of his decisions in the past, like maybe next season helping Romulans, both on a grand and small scale
- one last hurrah before he dies, after wasting away 15 years in his vinyard.
- Oh yeah, and helping the Federation return to its values.

Not quite nothing.

It looked like the La Sirena was going down at the end of that trailer.

Rios is going to need another ship.

I feel like I just read the same variations that doom clock and comic book guy vomit out about these shows.

People seem to expect Picard to ride into victory like he took the E-E to defeat the Borg in FC and that was *never* going to happen

I pointed out earlier that the Flower Satellite appears to envelope the La Sirena and then crashes into the atmosphere.
The ship looses all it's power and everything goes dark, even with the bridge window open to the nearby sun...

Everything on the Borg cube was (predictably) awful.

The rest of the episode was pretty good. Great showcase for Rios and Raffi.

A couple of dumb moments (predictably), and the holo joke is really getting played out.

But mostly a solid episode. I enjoyed it!

Nothing in the episode contradicts that Maddox made them.
