The model photo you posted is not actually the Celestra. It's either another model that has similarities to the Celestra, or the Celestra was adapted from that model. Both were used on screen, however. Here's a screencap of the Stellar Mining ship, showing the aft end:

I suspect it was heavily modified from its original version, much like the Eastern Alliance Destroyer was upgraded from this background RTF ship:
    Img_1773_preEACL.jpg Img_1774_preEACT.hpg.jpg

They seemed to do a lot of that kind of repurposing back then, apparently. Understandable, considering their highly limited budget.

The RDM version, you're right, does look a lot like the final upgrade, but is still missing much of the detailing. No matter, really, I'd love to have Eaglemoss do a treatment of it in any form (along with the EA Destroyer, of course! :))

And then they repurposed some of the models even more, once they started using them in Buck Rogers.

Of all the lazy, corner-cutting bullcrap…I just got my XL DS9 and the mofo lower pylons are still bent inward! I don’t know if I knew this going in and blocked it out, but I am pissed. (Not for the first time, but damn it all.) What is it with two of my faves (DS9 and the 1701 refit) being screwed over and over again. And here I sit, the sucker who just keeps trying and hoping like a fool. Am I overreacting? Possibly.

Have you got that 4 nacelled Section 31 ship yet? That’s the next one for me. No news about the D7.

no, the USS zimmerman is supposed to be the next one up, but i have it skipped.

here's the back page of the magazine showing the 4-nacelle section 31 ship and the miranda-ish variant:

I do like these Section 31 ships, but they suit the TNG era better. I can imagine them being the ships in DS9. Lurking in the shadows every time Sloane makes a visit.

they are so blatantly kitbashes of the stealth ship, yeah they'd be right at home in DS9. but because of that they're a pass for me. also my closet is getting full and picard and the orville are a whole other can of worms...

Picard would be what, 3 ships? :)
    Plus multiple Discovery Shuttle paintjobs.

perhaps but in the magazine in the first one received they say that the Vengence was the inspiration for it.

Eaglemoss already have an accurate-to-Picard Ent-D. Both the model/s and the holo have matching effed-up shuttlebays.

I think it was reported that the PCD ships will be the same size as the Discovery ones. As we have not yet had the E-D in that size I think Eaglemoss will use the opportunity to release a new one.
Maybe even with a darker paint scheme to reflect the darker lighting in PCD.

didn't ben robinson say on twitter there were 20 ships for picard?

    also don't forget...
zhat vash warbirds (larger than the scout ship from "remembrance" and narek's snakehead). also clancy said she was dispatching a squadron of federation ships, we may yet see those in the finale.

Question for those of you with the XL DS9 - what's the scale like between it and the regular ships? Do the ships look oversized?
