Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

At least they have binders for most of the Trek sets. My Battlestar collection has Disco-sized magazines which aren't protected because they haven't made binders for them, and aren't ever likely to, either. :(

They do. It’s hit or miss if they automatically send them, though. I’ve had to order a couple separately just to keep up with the shipments.

I have a binder for discovery magazines, did they never make more?
I don’t have a subscription, because I’m not getting every DSC ship. The binders are not available in the online store.

(Neither are the regular line binders, most of the time.)

You can call and order them on the phone. I've done that twice now. They are available (at least, they used to be).

Awesomeness! I always loved the Valk. Looks like they're doing the early Adama version, as opposed to the higher-detailed drydock version seen in "Razor". I'm also a big fan of the capital ships. Now they need to do a Berzerk (that name always made me chuckle).

Speaking of ships from BSG Deadlock I would love an Artemis, and Minerva class Battlestar.
As for Star Trek has eaglemoss done the other Vidiian ship? Specifically the huge one from 'Deadlock' (the VOY episode)?

Yes, the Vidiian ship has been done

I like all ships of the BSG line but my heart beats for the capital vessels. Battlestars are my fav. Hoping we’ll get the B&C Galactica someday, and perhaps the Mk I Jupiter class from BSG: Deadlock. Wonder if they would sell the TOS Galactica but labelled Pegasus?
yes to the blood and chrome galactica.

i've been really conservative with my BSG collection (i only have modern galactica, pegasus, and cylon basestar) but i'm down for the valkyrie too. am i the only one who wants to see the few vehicles from caprica done? i thought the couple of VTOLs and the two old school vipers were cool in an otherwise ship-less show...

I think I'd like both the Vipers, though the prop one definitely felt like a barely modded P40.

I think I'd prefer the Valkyrie refit without that engine addition though. To me it looks like someone just tried to stick a spoiler on it:(

I'm with you on that.

The WW II-era Spitfire variant I could take or leave, but the inverting-wing F4-style Viper I DEFINITELY want to see. The Valkyrie Refit from Razor (although the jury is still out if that curvy engine addition thingy was a part of the drydock gantry or a part of the ship itself) and old Osiris-class from B&C would be cool to see too.
i really loved the graystone industries phoenix jet, which also appeared as a caprican marines vehicle.

What a beautiful futuristic aircraft!
Agreed with the above points that Caprica may not have had (m)any ships, but its skybound vehicles are nifty.

Btw, did BSG ever explain how the Cylons went from household robots to a military force capable of starting an outright war with the Colonies?

i assume caprica would've answered that question. but the series hinted at a kind of arms race between caprica (the planet), tauron, and the monotheists on gemenon all vying for cylon tech. since they all inherited zoe graystone's radical beliefs, it's not hard to imagine them gaining independence pretty quickly and fighting back against their oppressors. especially with people like sister clarice radicalizing them in the virtual world and egging them on.

It is a shame that that show didn’t continue on, but I suspect there was some NuBSG/Cylon drama fatigue from the viewership by that point.

We saw Cylons used in a police role in the penultimate or ultimate episode, they came in on VTOLs and sniped a large amount of bombers at a stadium, IIRC.

Seems to me the Colonials just militarized them fast; the Cylons went along with it until they were in a strong position and then seceded.
