I thinks it's one of Leonard Nimoy's best performances, And he really sold to the viewer the inner struggle of being a child of two worlds.
No I didn’t cry.....but I was impressed that Nimoy and director Marc Daniels had only one chance to nail the shot because the prescribed shut down time for filming around 6 PM didn’t allow a second take.

It's funny how people hate his accent, i saw in an interview he gave to anthony pascale a few years ago where he said he was doing an imitation of his father, particularly when they were at the dinner table when his dad said "pass the wegtables". his father must have had a odd Russian accent himself.I only cry when Walter Koenig tries to speak with a Russian accent.![]()
