Ahem... I was talking about Ford... Do you all need more hints ;)
I don't think he'd do it. I know he was in Blade Runner too but sci-fi stuff doesn't seem something he naturally gravitates to, not unlike Patrick Stewart himself except this is Patrick's franchise and character and show and Ford has nothing to do with Trek and probably doesn't care to be a part of it I'm guessing. And there's no way CBS could pay him enough.

There's a better shot at getting Mark Hamill who does have a strong connection with sci-fi/fantasy (he's also Joker for example and a big comic book fan), and like I said Derek Jacobi has often pushed for genre roles (he campaigned to be in Star Wars but was completely ignored).

Rissa acts like she really really believes it, did something happen to her to truly convince her beyond the Mind Meld, or is she truly just playing the standard cardboard cutout villain.

She certainly seems to be more of a true believer than her brother and they both really do think they are acting in the interests of the greater good.

We have yet to really be shown what it is exactly that the Zhat Vash are so afraid of, or where this information originally came from, has it been handed down through the centuries via mind meld, could the message have become corrupted over time.

As I said weeks ago is it just a self fulfilling prophecy, could Narek and Rissa's actions be what causes it.

Will watch the episode tomorrow although I know what occurs due to the very early spoilers.

I am hoping that we will see Lore/Data or Q by the end of the season, ideally with a side order of the Laris and Zhaban show mixed in.

The thing is, there are so few Romulans left anyway. What could be worse than their homeworld blowing up, which already happened? Do the Zhat Vash really care if Soji wipes out Earth and Vulcan? Nero didn't.

On The Ready Room, Frakes mentioned he didn't feel the last scene was like a 'closure'. Presumably a hint we might see him again in a later episode...

Also, Spiner mentioned earlier we would be seeing him in more than one episode.

I gave up on Doctor Who after Capaldi's first season so I have to ask: Why?
The Capaldi years only got better and better IMO. The idea of having him come into his own over time was a great one; I just wish it hadn't taken as big of a chunk of his overall time as the Doctor. But I'm also a big fan of Moffat's Doctor Who in general.

There are lots of Romulans left I suspect as they had plenty of time, its was the poor and those without connections that died.

It does tie into a question I posed after the first episode, is the Supernova and subsequent attack on Mars connected, was the Zhat Vash behind the attack on Mars, did they know that it would scupper the rescue plan or did they think the Federation would still go ahead with it.

Did they attack because they knew the death toll would be lower due to a skeleton crew.

If the Supenova and attack on Mars was caused by the same organisation it can only mean that they had it in for the Romulans as a force in the Alpha/Beta quadrants, rather than it being about wiping out synths in the case of the Zhat Vash, would they be willing to sacrifice their own people and Empire in the hope that it would save everyone.

Who or what made that Star explode, could the Zhat Vash have done that and if so could they have done it without anyone realising, that is a hard sell for me at this point, alternatively was the Supernova an attempt by some other synthetic power to wipe out the Zhat Vash.

Why Was Dahj being sent to the Daystrom Institute, her mission was to uncover information about the cabal, was there some evidence she found that pointed her in that direction.

There are still a lot of question marks in regards to motives pretty much across the board right now and we don't really know much at all for certain.

The Zhat Vash is thousands of years old. Thus they predate the Time of Awakening. They are beyond politics, and employ Romulans as well as Vulcans equally. Their aim is to prevent the overall Vulcanoid society from being destroyed by artificial intelligences.
