Didn't RTD have Julie Gardner, and Moffat had the job rotating throughout his run?Wasn't with Rusty and the Moff AFAIK. Chibbers gets an EP cred.

That makes sense to me. Graham and Ryan have had the most character development while, unfortunately, Yaz hasn't gotten nearly as much beyond her family. Having her as the sole companion will allow her to shine like we saw in "Fugitive of the Judoon" and "Praxeus."The Mirror is reporting that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are leaving with the Holiday Special, while Mandip Gill will continue into the next season.
Which is consistent with the reports of Tosin Cole being in another show and the fact that Bradley Walsh is insanely busy. And assuming Yaz will be the only companion next season, this could be of benefit to her, since she's in serious need of some character development. The Mirror is reporting that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are leaving with the Holiday Special, while Mandip Gill will continue into the next season.
What I'd like to happen: The Doctor and Yaz.
What will happen: Chibnall will stick another three companions in there so Yaz and the Doctor will end up with even less screen time.
Quite a fan of that development. Yaz is my favourite of the three, Graham's story seems wrapped up, and Ryan's has never really arrived. With one companion instead of three, would give them a chance to use her more and not sideline her all the time. The Mirror is reporting that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are leaving with the Holiday Special, while Mandip Gill will continue into the next season.
I really don't care about how Chibmeister gets it done. I don't want to wait every two years for a subpar set of episodes, including one that is basically a giant middle finger to all fans. Its bad enough the wait, but if we were getting shows that rivaled in quality the series 4-5 era, I'd be contend. Really. At least we'd get some semblance of quality stories.
I argue we don't anymore. Two series in, and not one solid classic.
He said ahead of the latest series: “We have great fun doing it. But you must sleep and look after yourself, because if you don’t, you will come unstuck.
"This is 10 months of ramming speed. That’s what it is. I’m in my 60th year. It’s tough. It’s hard. It’s relentless. It really is. This ain't an easy gig.”
I can easily see this being a mutual decision for both of them. Walsh because he's so busy, Cole because by the standards of Doctor Who companions he's put his time in.I wonder if was a decision of both of them, or if one's unavailability made the other unnecessary, since their characters are linked.
Eh, he's not really saying anything new. Capaldi made similar comments after his first season.Interesting quote from that Mirror article.
I agree. It would be worth the wait if we could get stories on par with Eccleston/Tennant, but alas those days are behind us I think.
Again, I thought that was common knowledge?Interesting from the point of view of how much time filming a series takes.
Judging by some comments I'm not sure this is always the case.Again, I thought that was common knowledge?
Ain't that the truth...Judging by some comments
